Dragon Books Young Adults Novels & Stories

"At least mine are educational." "Mine have dragons." "Fair point." I grinned. "Dragons trump education every time." "What's your favorite?" Jason asked. "Book, I mean." "The Forgotten Kingdom series. It's about a girl who discovers she's descended from dragon riders." "Let me guess. She saves the world?" "Eventually. But she fails a lot first. Makes mistakes. Gets people killed." I paused. "That's what I like about it. She's not perfect. She's just trying."

Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.

I spent hours studying the text. I learned about Alice's Dragon, referred to in ancient languages as the 'Rare Healer of Fire.' This unique dragon was gifted with ancient magic. If the Rare Healer of Fire mated with another dragon, they would be reborn as humans but retain the ability to use dragon magic without their dragon forms.

"She's a Witch!" The moment the gem slipped from my grasp, a sudden void consumed me, the magic dissipating with my relinquished hold. Stepping back from the booth, a profound stillness cloaked me as I observed the crowd converging. Panic etched itself onto the faces of men, women, and children alike. The murmurs of discontent swelled into an angry chorus, echoing through the air. In the distance, the clamor of approaching soldiers added urgency to the unfolding scene. A ripple of anxiety coursed through me as I trembled, gazing one final time at the old woman. "You glowed," she whispered. A mirror hung on a twisted post, and my reflection revealed tendrils of cerulean sparks dancing on my i

‘She’s very protective of you, Skylar,’ Bynjym tells her. ‘How old does a dragon have to be in order to bond with a rider?’ I ask him. ‘A dragon cannot claim a rider until they are old enough to carry a rider,’ he says. Ylys looks at him. ‘True,’ he says to her. ‘What’s true?’ I ask. ‘Ylys reminded me that queens are different and this little one is proving to be very different. Ylys says Cyryl is already feeling possessive of Skylar, not wanting Ylys to get close to her.’

Hopefully you'll enjoy the next generation of Guardians as much as you enjoyed the first trilogy. Also, if you haven't tried it, I have a book out called The Arena. It's the first in the Elemental Dragons series. It's very different from this world of the Guardians. That book is filled with shifters and, you guessed it, dragons. That series is intended to have four books, one for each dragon.

Drake reassured with a small smile. Elaina nodded in understanding and kept trying. After sometime Drake got an idea and he reached out to take the harp from her, “How about we take a little break and learn something new?” He suggested. Elaina frowned a little but let him take the harp. “What do you mean?” Drake picked up the ancient book and handed it to her before saying, “We have never really gone through this book properly, aside from the ritual and recitations, there is some written history of dragons in it. Take your mind off music for now and let's learn something new”

Flavius's eyes widen at Neron's words as he chokes out a cough. "A den of beast is not the words I'd use to describe this place. But I must admit this has been a very educational experience," Flavius tells him. "That is because we dragons are seekers of vast knowledge. My horde alone holds one of the largest archives in Midgar. You are bound to learn a thing or two staying here," I say. "As much as I would love to continue discussing the extensive knowledge of dragons there is a point to our arrival," Daniel says. "Awe yes, I nearly forgot. As stated in the original deal between our people I've brought with me the requested weaponry and medical kits," Neron tells us.
