Clothing shredded and roses exploded into petals as the dragon’s wings and tail whipped wildly, before a snort shrivelled the lawn into ash sending a strong scent of burnt hay into the air.
“Shit!” Harry gaped open-mouthed as the dragon took full form. Strong clawed feet sank into the soil as his long tail rasped scale against the stone walls, and wings spreading, hooking on the veranda over the doorway, lifting tile and splintering wood.
The dragon was a deep, dark green, with hard horned scales that darkened to black at the edges.
“Well, I guess we know who your daddy is,” Harry commented. “He’s not as cute and cuddly as you, my love,” they added, putting their arm around Jules’ shoulders.
