Echoes of Ruin
Magic unlike anything I knew.
A girl stood in the center of the conflagration, barefoot and bloody, her silver-blonde hair streaming in the wind.
She obviously wasn't Nora. Her eyes, however, molten gold, shining from within, froze me to the spot. Dragon eyes. Like Nora’s, but older, wilder.
She screamed. Not fear, but fury. Resistance. A defiance that spanned lifetimes.
And then it came into view. A glaive, half-buried in ash. Blackened silver, with red metal that seemed to pulse like raw flesh.
