Saph POV The sounds of birds chirping and squirrels rustling between trees stir me out of the weirdest dream. I was dancing with a clown, the sexiest clown…if that’s even a thing. My head is pounding, my skin feels itchy, and when I peel my eyes open, they are heavy with sleep and crusty in the corners from dirt. Sarah POV I had always had vivid dreams, even dreams when I knew I was sleeping but didn’t somehow care that I was dreaming. I’ve had dreams where I felt I was watching other people’s dreams, and I’ve had dreams where I was completely certain I was living that dream. In this dream, I was in a forest. I’d been in this dream-forest before, and I was comfortable. The moonlight above me shone down and seemed to make everything sparkle. The trees and leaves were more blue than green, and the smell was of home.

I couldn't feel her anymore and that scared me more than anything. "What just happened!!!" Neil demanded and I stared up at Sally in horror. "They beat her. They almost raped her! I can't feel her!! Charleston expected that from him. "Freshening up?" Mr Donne Spielberg asked with narrowed brows. "I over slept," he said in irritation, taking a bite from a waffle. "I guess the dream took over." Mrs Spielberg groaned. "My son finally had a dream. What's the dream you had all about?” she asked, biting on her cottage bread. Charles groaned irritably as his father and Mr Hensworth fixed their eyes on him attentively. “Do we have to do this now, Mom?” He asked in irritation.

The longest, loudest yawn she’d ever done. Her eyelids were so heavy now, but how could that be? How could you fall asleep when you were already dreaming? She remembered something they’d covered in school the previous Halloween. About a writer and one of his poems, about dreams within dreams, but she hadn’t really been paying attention and couldn’t for the life of her recall his name.
