Sleep escaped me most of the night. As a vampire, I did not require much, so it was not completely uncommon. But it was not only due to the encounter I just had. My other issue was when I had attempted to close my eyes and drift off into a slumber, my dreams kept me awake. Apparently, the wolf even haunted me in my sleeping hours as well.

I smirked at how she easily briefed me on what happened. “Not to that extent, but I know how to use it better than before.” She smiled as she was being humbled. “So, about your dream...” I trailed off as I was not sure where to start the conversation regarding that matter. “It was a past event, but I don’t know who that vampire was. It seems like he sensed us there.” But my wife understood what I wanted to know and briefed me. “Yeah, and those eyes…I haven’t met anyone with those eyes or any vampire who could eat their kind. It’s more barbaric than just killing them.” I agreed and informed her about something I hadn’t encountered before until that dream happened.

Certainly, she would not be so eager about the mate topic if she knew about the fur and paws appearing in the crazy illusion. "I'll tell you a secret, my darling. When I first met your father, it was also in my dream. It's rare, but we vampires can sense when the fated one is near, approaching us." My mood sank. Yes, I was well aware that some vampires could recognize their mates in a dream. Though it wasn't my case. My mind played nasty tricks on me because we visited a werewolves' village. Though the enthusiasm which radiated from her troubled me.

Not to mention for them to share the exact same dream. Oh yeah... he is a vampire, is he not? The undead. Paranormal creature. Drinks blood. Has magic. No doubt if he wants to become an intruder in her dreams, what is there to stop him? She wouldn't even if she could. Shocking isn't it? Rosa bits her bottom lip and her head slowly fills with Armand's face. She couldn't help feeling the way she feels.

Aster: Aster woke violently. Limbs flailing wildly, heart hammering, she bit back a scream just in time. She dreamed about the dead vampires, their bodies sizzling and slowly decomposing in the sun. She walked between them, turning them over one at a time. Each of them was someone she knew and loved – her family, slowly melting away to nothing.

He called me something in the dream: “Val'thira.” It probably was just a result of my overactive mind.

I asked carefully. She shook her head. “No. He just appears in the dream. Nothing more.” I exhaled slowly. For a moment, I stayed quiet, thinking. In our world, when someone appears in another person’s dream, it wasn’t always normal. Especially for vampires. If a vampire tried to control someone’s mind or influence them, and it failed, it could mean something strange. Curiosity. Or something deeper. Maybe that was what the words meant. “Why didn’t it work on you? Who are you?”

I added. “In it?
