Drowning in You
"I...... I just wanted to make sure they were settled."
"Settle this first," I muttered. I stepped forward and grabbed his arm, pulling him toward the mats.
I didn't ask. I just acted. I grabbed the heaviest blankets we had, three thick, wooly things that smelled of dust and dampness. I threw them across the mats, creating a makeshift nest.
"Get out of those clothes," I commanded.
Leo froze. He looked at me, his expression a mix of confusion and alarm. "What?"
"The clothes are wet, Leo. If you stay in them, you'll get hypothermia. Do you want to die of a cold after surviving a tsunami?" I stepped closer, my presence filling the small space. "Get. Out. Of. Them."
