I pulled out my wallet and took out the black card I had in there. I know she has her own money, but I want to spoil her a little. I chuckled as her eyes grew to the size of dinner plates. “Okay.” Darla shut the door, Jade tossed the covers over and swung her legs to the side. She rubbed her eyes, and stretched her arms, and got to her feet. She decided to wear a black tank top and blue jeans. She combed her hair and examined her face again. The bruises were darker, but the cuts faded a little. She walked down the stairs; Darla was on the phone. She decided to grab a glass of milk, she sat down at the kitchen table. Darla put the phone on the receiver, “Sorry about that. You ready to go?” She asked.

In the distance, across a vast expanse of ruins, is a tall, pale figure, “Because I called you here. I’ve been waiting a very long time to meet you, Carnelia.” She is a tall drakaina, wearing a tight uniform of burnished black, her void-hair flowing around her like a whip in a stale breeze smelling of salt and ash. Her gaze is steady as she peers at me from a distance with eyes that dance, as bright as silver moons, as she takes a bold step forward.
