he muttered and then turned back to dishing the food.
"Lunch?" Dapo asked his friend, dazed as he looked instinctively at his left wrist which had no watch on it.
"It's two thirty p.m., mister!" Dare handed his friend a plate of steaming rice with a soup he didn't know the name.
He carried his own plate too and together, they headed for the living room, where they sat at opposite ends of the room. They ate their meal in silence for a while before Dare put his plate of food on the side table near him and headed for the kitchen. Dapo ate voraciously, oblivious to all else as he was only concerned with assuaging his hunger.
