TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS
We kicked off our shoes, threw on some comfy pajamas, and collapsed onto the massive sectional in the living room.
Cheryl pulled out her phone and started scrolling through movies. “Alright, what are we watching first?”
Alex grinned. “Something cheesy. Preferably with a lot of hot guys.”
“Agreed,” I said, grabbing a blanket and settling in.
As the movie started, and the lights dimmed, I couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of contentment. These were the moments that mattered—the quiet nights, the inside jokes, the shared secrets. No matter what else was happening in our lives, I knew I could always count on Alex and Cheryl to be there for me, just like I’d always be there for them.
