Duelist Academy Novels & Stories

"Well, yes. That's for a human's perspective. But for us-a noble or a mythical creature as what human history says-it's natural. We can live for millennia and tens and hundreds of it, not aging. We can even enter eternal slumber if we want to. "But that's not always the case. Sometimes, one can enter a force eternal sleep if they committed a crime that is too grave beyond comprehension and the risk being known to the world is high or they took offense to the humankind that we're supposed to take care." -Cassielle Elise D. Dairen, the daughter of the duke, Clyde Estreno D. Dairen. The unknown duchess.

word – as in, 'Dueling' – on it. "Lei"? A duel? Chu Xun remembered the common tradition of engagement through battles he witnessed many times during his foray into the foreign dimension, although he never expected to see one here. "What are they doing?" asked Winsome Widow. "This is a dueling arena set up by the Sanctuary. Warriors fight up there; the winner will get a spiritual herb," explained Yu Cheng. "What about the losers?" "They get slapped with a small penalty – a community service, of sorts. They are to watch the gates leading out of the city and make sure no wild beast gets past. After one month, they'd be free."

“The duels could be solitary, consecutive, or team duels. Solitary duels are usually the hottest duels that can take place. They are usually between two powerful masters, and the build up to them is akin to the way humans hype their pay per view fights. Those kinds of duels throw the entire world into a frenzy. Unfortunately, they aren’t that common. After all, how many clans would be willing to lose military power just because of a grudge. Unless it’s a life-or-death situation, that would never happen. I think there have only been three Solitary Duels since the inception of this tradition.” “Consecutive Duels are more popular than Solitary Duels, but there pale in comparison to Team Duels.

Marcus and Louis went to their specific position in the ground. "This is a duel happening between Alpha Marcus and Alpha Louis for the title of Alpha King. Whoever wins this duel will win the title and territory. The duel can begin now." The guard announced and went back to their specific position. Every person present on the ground knows what is going to happen, it is impossible to defeat Marcus when he is at his full potential. Louis made a huge mistake but he was confident in his plan. All the hearts started beating at a very fast pace, people were nervous and scared, if Louis wins this duel he will destroy all of them, he will kill anyone who has taken the side of Marcus.

He crossed his arms, chuckling to himself. Leonard, more familiar with Danial’s odd resilience, shrugged, his tone cautious. "Let’s just watch first. There might be more to him than we’re seeing." Alex scoffed but kept his focus on the duel, mumbling, "It’ll be entertaining, at least. Can’t wait to see him humiliated." Just as the audience was settling in, two more people entered the dueling hall—Elysia and Oliver, both engaged in an important conversation. Elysia, known as one of the academy’s “Gods of War,” spoke with her usual authority.

Or rather, a certain person who asked him about that certain day a month ago. “Now, since we have members of the two special spheres here, you may choose to duel with each other, or go against your teammate,” said Dean Alcione, looking at Dorin’s and Xander’s Spheres. “The rest of the class may find a partner in their level. Those who cannot find a match may approach me.” “Oh, I can’t wait to duel with that pesky Dorin! Or maybe that bastard Johan!” Venet said with a sleazy grin.

"Hey, Mina, look!" The ones on the platform were only seven now. Now, only five will have to fight for the three positions left. However, three of them had already decided who they were going to take out. Kal and his friend, Mellie. A little dragoness also part of the Duke's soldiers, though she was not that of a fighter, instead, she was more a magic-user. "Mellie, I shall leave them to you?" "We should let one stay, right?" "You choose."

So, Emperor Academy proposed a solution. They possessed an item that God King needed. Something called the Slaughterer’s Blade. They offered to wager that item against the right to possess the wolf. The deciding factor was to be a duel. God King was tempted and accepted. Unfortunately for them, they lost the duel due to Emperor Academy’s scheming. In the end, they had to concede the wolf and watch as the Slaughterer’s Blade returned to their rivals once again. Maia already detested Emperor Academy after that day. And they certainly did not help their case by birthing students like Myron. “I thought we had agreed to leave,” Frost frowned as he rushed to Maia’s side.

“You know that you don’t have to go through with it. Audrey’s father made that deal with a human, which is yet another infraction.” “I know, and I am not happy that Frank made that deal without knowing what a traditional duel was, but that’s on me. Think about what we just did to their coven or what I’ve done since Audrey disappeared. If we’re being honest, I probably will end up killing whoever took her one way or another.” “Does a traditional duel truly mean a fight to the death, and that you could die tonight?” said Frank. “Yes. It is a one-on-one type of battle. Anything goes. You win when the opponent dies,” said Coralis.

She too was holding a blue chip. “Oh my, does this mean we will be teammates?” Nellie happily asked. I “Okay everyone, now find your pairs. When you find your pairs choose a glass barrier and you may begin your duel. The duel will end when the opponent falls to the floor.” The professor proudly proclaimed. “What?” I verbally voiced out. I casted a glance at Antonella but she too was in appalled by what she have heard. “Now, everyone, move your feet time is running, the person who will win will get the higher merit of course. Good luck wizlings, I will be here observing the battle.”
