Playing With Fire

Playing With Fire

He instinctively shot his hands forward to steady me on my feet and accidentally grabbed my boobs. Both of us fell into sudden, awkward silence. This was the first time I had my boobs grabbed by a guy ever since I'd been born. I was stupefied. I didn't even manage to snap back to my senses when Austin subconsciously kneaded them a few more times. "I-I didn't mean to… It was an accident. Get up, please," Austin said, looking embarrassed as well. After he helped me stand properly, he awkwardly scratched the back of his head and said, "I'm sorry. I usually play basketball, so I might have grabbed you a little too hard. Did I hurt your boobs?"

Rise from Fire and Steel

Rise from Fire and Steel

When the audio ended, she spoke with calm resignation, “I tampered with his car because I wanted Jack to win the championship. That led to Lewis’s crash and death. “Lewis treated racing with devotion. To him, a race was his life’s calling. “Jack and I framed him to escape blame. “Without me, Lewis would have won. He would have had a bright, dazzling future. “I am the sinner. I betrayed the one who trusted me the most.” Then, as comments exploded across the livestream, Alanna struck a lighter in the gas-filled room. … Fortunately, someone watching the stream lived nearby and called the police. Firefighters arrived quickly and put out the flames. But Alanna had stood at the center of the explo

I may not have much but I'd like to keep a hold on my dignity. I kick a small pebble that skitters into the darkness of the pavement as I walk down, I hear festive sounds coming from the pub at the end of this street but I ignore it. No use hoping to have something you never will. Even though I have magical blood, I'm a fire slifer. I have no clue how to harness my power so it's basically useless. I've only had one or two incidents of nearly burning a house down but other than that I feel basically human.

FIRE ON FIRE

FIRE ON FIRE

I sat down on the chair and cleared my throat before the pianist started the keys for ‘Light a Fire by Angela’. “Loneliness, you’re tied around my wrist,” I sang and slowly stole the attention of the audience. I sang passionately as I stared into Derek’s eyes and smile. “Oh, I was born to break these chains, like a spark before the flames; watch me a fire, fire in my soul. Yeah, I can feel it in my bones, like a dream ready to explore; watch me light a fire…” I sang smoothly. The moment I was done, the people were cheering as Derek smiled and drank his Negroni with a satisfied look.

Pyromania

Pyromania

Scarface's stuttering was really starting to irk him. "I'm s-sorry, Sir Miller. What I meant was that mage fire came from his hands! He didn't order any demons and his fire was red! His fire, which burned Poisontip in mere moments and killed him, burned red! His flames are red, Master Miller!" Scarface started sobbing violently. 'Ah, he lost it…' "Hector…" Hector, who was now behind Marcus, lowered his head. "Yes, Sir Marcus?" "Take this pathetic man out and dispose of him."

Alpha Alexander

Alpha Alexander

Fires crackled softly throughout the camp where soldiers and travelers alike rested, but not all found comfort in sleep. Valerian stepped away from the gathered circle of warriors and witches, his eyes scanning the horizon. He was a man of secrets and survival, but even he knew when to step aside. With a nod toward the older man sitting near the fire, he said quietly, “Talk to him. He’s your family now, whether either of you wanted it or not.” With that, he walked off, leaving Serena’s father and Alexandro in the hush of flickering light and long-overdue conversation.

But because it was his fellow guy and definitely he knew that what they had to say then wouldn’t make him to forget the fact that he was bathing. He finally dried his body and came out of the bathroom. He turned on the TV and was about dressing up before he remembered he had a call to return. He dialed back Clinton’s number as he was the person that called earlier. “Are you done bathing, this one it took you long, are you sure there’s no girl with you?” he teased Bruno. “I am a repented man, in fact, I have been born again”. “Born what?..... You are not serious, of all people not you bro”.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Before I could think to ask him what his name was, Duncan groaned and sat up from the floor. He twisted his bulbous head towards him and scowled, “Who the fuck are you?” The god didn’t skip a beat, reluctantly looking down at Duncan as though he were no more important than the wood scattered along the floor. “You want to know who I am and not the savage beast ready to gouge your eyes out?” Duncan craned his head my way, his hands still clutching his round belly. How rude! I scoffed at the two of them. “First I’m a rabid wolf and now a savage beast. Is that how you plan on doing it? You’re just going to insult me to death?”

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

The Run Away Bride is My Wife

The Run Away Bride is My Wife

With a cigarette in his hand as he blew smoke out, through his nose. He had escaped, and now, he'd remain hidden till he gets back on his feet. For now, he would take care of his bruised bones, work on his skills, recruit men, train them, then come out to destroy Austin for good. He would be ready, and this time, not just ready, he would attack unannounced. His eyes grew maliciously harder as he dragged a smoke into his mouth, bringing it back outside through his nostrils. “Boss. Nothing about him. He's nowhere to be found.” Duncan’s voice sounded.

Blackmailing the Boss

Blackmailing the Boss

"Duncan." His name is a flame setting every nerve in my body ablaze. I've touched myself to that name. I've fantasized about it. Now Duncan Willis is inches away, his lips hovering near mine, saying his name, his warm, cinnamon breath caressing my cheeks, and his spicy cologne filling my lungs. I swallow. "Duncan...yeah, right," I say stupidly as I lift my right hand and extend it to him, ready to shake. "I'm Kimbra."
