Duncan was danger in the form of a male, and if Samuel was so agitated by him, then I definitely would be trying my hardest to steer clear of such a person. Duncan had black hair, that was shaved at the sides, and wore ugly stained t-shirts with leather pants. Yes, you heard me right, leather. He had these huge combat boots on his feet and that's a lot coming from me because I knew about huge feet. He looked like a vagrant. I'm sorry but he did. But no matter how harmless he tried to look, it was his eyes. He had the dullest, most boring eyes I had ever seen but it's like. . . It's like you knew exactly what he was capable of by just looking at them.

'Quagmire' is a romance novel which possesses a lot of twists, turns, complications but still enough romance to keep it interesting and thrilling. “Fine. I’ll take a break. You handle the training.” Duncan nodded and took over as I walked away from the training grounds. Duncan wasn't one to be shaken by confrontation; he was a good liar so asking him would be pointless. With most of the warriors busy, the area was relatively quiet, and I saw it as a chance to investigate further. I made my way to Duncan’s quarters, the empty halls echoing my footsteps. The door was unlocked, so I entered and began searching through his belongings. The room was orderly, but I rifled through drawers and shelves, looking for anything that might be out of place.

“How could this be.” He crouched and touched the blood on the floor with great care. “It can't be. It was only her period. There can't be this much blood.” On instinct he pulled out his phone, but his shaking hand couldn't hold it. The phone dropped onto the pool of blood. He threw himself down to grab it, curled over the stain, and started dialing Scarlett's number. A cold recorded voice told him, over and over. “The number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable.”

Despite how much she likes to play fights with him, she had never done so well at the idea of him being hurt. In the doorway, a Cyclopes stood its eyes the color of mint glinting against what little light there is. It grinned. “Can you stand?” Winters demanded without taking her eyes off of the monster that began to dash towards them at a terrifying speed, club raised in the air as it let out a deranged roar. The sound of heavy footsteps was making William's ears pound as he scrambled upright in answer despite the way the world seemed to sway for a scary moment as he snatched the crossbow off of the floor and began to take aim.

She forewarned with a lopsided smile that exuded only evil. My whole system was turning down. My gaze roamed around, and I felt my wolf dying in agony. My life was leaving me as excruciating pain took over my heart. The Blue Moon was the head of the Northern American Packs. We ruled the others. Dad and Mom had built the pack to become one of the greatest.

"Don't tell my parents I let you catch me. Tell them I fought you. Also, tell them I was wearing shoes. It'll break my mum if she knew I died barefoot." He chuckled and a little drop of humour flashed in his dark orbs. "Duly noted." And the world went black forever. Adrianne's POV I was about to continue walking when someone's hand closed over my arm. Thankfully, I had fast reflexes and I yanked my hand away and was about to bolt when the person spoke in a very soft voice. "Don't run! I'm not going to hurt you." uh-huh I silently said sarcastically. I paused and even though it killed me, I stared at the stranger's face. He was raven haired, had piecing black eyes and was dressed in all black

But in front of these little kids and broken women, that wouldn’t be a nice thing to do. “Do you have a death wish, big man?” the soldier asked. Diana looked at Arianna in panic, hoping she’d stop her husband from getting into trouble. These soldiers were devious and had done unimaginable things to them. They all wondered if the travelers were crazy. Duncan’s scent was low, and even though he looked larger than everyone in the room, that didn’t mean he could defeat these people. “It’s the other way around,” Duncan’s rough voice hinted he was about to lose himself.

Suddenly, a panicked cry for help echoed not far away. "Help! Help me!" Duncan Knox, dressed in rags, resembling a beggar, emerged from a thicket. His body was covered in blood, and he dragged a broken leg that seemed freshly fractured. "Help me. Someone's trying to kill me!" Mya was so scared that she hid behind Madelyn, "Y-You... Why are you coming to us instead of calling the cops?" Madelyn squinted at Duncan and felt that he looked somewhat familiar. She vaguely recalled having seen him somewhere before.
