Dungeon Critters Novels & Stories

They gave birth to powerful witches who in turn created powerful covens. By the turn of the new millennium, other creatures had appeared. Created by other forces. Werewolves hunted alongside vampires in the night. The Fae, the most mysterious of all creatures resided in the dense forests within their fairy rings or in the still waters of the lakes and ponds in the forms of water nymphs. Gnomes and leprechauns set up home in the hills and wetlands. Other creatures which once roamed the world a plenty were becoming extinct. Creatures such as dragons and unicorns each were hunted to extinction for the magical healing qualities.

Pearl opened the kitchen door and witnessed utter chaos. She couldn't believe how many things that could possibly go wrong at one time, and she started to wonder just what in the hell she had done to piss the universe off so damn bad lately. Sprites...there were hundereds of stinking ass sprites running amuck in the freaking kitchen. They were nasty little critters with a few human like features. They were ugly and they smelled really bad. They had big, pointy teeth that were green brown and covered in green snot looking slobber. They were scavengers and would steal anything, especially food.

[DUNGEON - DIMLY LIT AND DANK CELL] The dungeon is a grim and shadowy place, the walls lined with cold, damp stones that seem to seep misery. Meagia was laying on the floor with dishevelled hair and eyes filled with desperation, slowly regaining consciousness on a cold, stone floor. Her eyes flutter open, adjusting to the dim light filtering in from a small, barred window high above.

Drago led her to a covered deck, where the whole family was sitting, ready for breakfast. All around her were the usual suspects, Grigo, Marcu, and the mercenaries from the dungeon below the compound, who all nodded to her in respect. Madchen smiled at them, they never uttered a judgemental word against her when she enacted her frenzied revenge on Jason, they just stood back and let her have her moment.

The one missing limb who specialised in using daggers, darts and poisons was then interviewed, and he explained everything. In the dungeon’s first floor, it turns out all the beasts had unexpectedly gone beyond the capacity of even a B-ranker. Once the door of the dungeon was shut, it became hell for them. They couldn't even clear the first floor, much less head to the next. They suspected there must be a beast that caused this, the type that could buff other beasts and not just its own kind.

The dökkálfar tribe The tunnel we traveled down was much more richly decorated and I found myself in awe of the intricate carvings and paintings on the cave walls. Small humanoid brown hairy creatures scurried about and they smiled with their odd human-like faces at us and nodded to the both of us as they hurried past. "What are they," I asked curiously and Rowen laughed. "They're hobs or brownies and do the cleaning in the mound. I looked up at the tunnel and realized that it was all perfectly cut stone.

As they approached, they saw that the ruins were crawling with dark creatures, including goblins, trolls, and even a few dragons. "We must be careful," the elven leader cautioned. "The Dark Queen has sent her minions to guard the amulet. We cannot let them get their hands on it." Aric and Kaida drew their swords and prepared for battle. The group charged towards the ruins, engaging in a fierce fight with the creatures. Aric and Kaida fought side by side, their swords clashing against the enemies.
