Edens Garden Novels & Stories

Eden shrugged her shoulders and went to grab the plates, but I stopped her. “Later. I want to show you something first,” I said and gently grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the back entrance. Truthfully, I didn’t plan any of this, the idea was spontaneous, but it felt right. At least until Titus had to open his big mouth and ruin the moment. “Yeah, Eden, Lucius has something he wants to show you. It’s a code name for his sex dungeon, so be careful, don’t trip over dildos and whips, I heard he has many of those.”

We approached what I assumed was a large room due to the ornate looming double doors that secured it. It was a heavy wood door with gold leafing for decor. Whoever was behind the door had to be important. I’d notice the door once before and took note of it. But by the time I passed the same location again, it was gone in the labyrinth known as Eden. I curse the individuals responsible for designing Eden.

Eden and Kian park their cars in front of La Vie En Rose and pay their tickets before going inside. It's a labyrinth-like garden, with different types of plants and flowers in each corner. They imported some flowers from various regions in the world, and music from the place of origin plays in the exposition. Kian calls Grayson to know where he is. Meanwhile, Eden starts taking pictures of the flowers with his phone to show them to Harvey when he gets back home. He thinks of bringing him here once they have less work.

He grinned and left, then I picked up the chopping stick. “Are you sure he didn't find you in the restroom?” Kisey inquired. He had seen me hurry out of there when I noticed that Eden was searching for me with my scent. “She knows that whoever it is that saved her from the woods is her mate, and she must find him.” I licked my lips, nothing was interesting in this world when you weren't happy. “Now that she's my mate, do you think she won't reject me if she finds out?”

“Oh, Eden! You’re here!” The first person to greet us as we walked through the entrance to the Jacksons’ huge garden was Elijah’s mother, Kayla, with a huge smile on her face and her arms outstretched toward me “It’s so good to have you here…”

Eden huffed, setting her plate down and shooting Tessa a glare before stomping off toward the door. As Eden walked across the living room, the bell stopped ringing. She paused, one hand on the knob. “Seriously?” She muttered under her breath. “Did they already leave?” She opened the door cautiously; the crisp San Francisco air greeted her. But there was no one there. The front step was empty. She stepped out onto the porch, her loose white tee fluttering in the breeze. Her eyes swept left and right—no courier, no neighbor, nothing. “Well, it looks like whoever it was didn’t have the patience to wait,” she murmured, sighing. She turned to go back inside when something caught her eye; somethin

she turned wildly on the spot, frantically looking around “W-where Lena! Where!” Lena gently grasped her arms “Calm down Dawnie”, she said “the Green Man is a forest god which means he will be in some place like a park or a forest or….” she trailed off, her brown eyes drifting towards the orchard that they’d parked across from “Oh, that’s clever”, she breathed, staring at the name: Viridios. Dawn followed her gaze “They wouldn’t be so brazen”, she remarked.

After a few minutes of walking and almost emptied my cup of coffee, we arrived at our usual spot. The Garden of Eden is a large garden that was full of different kinds of flowers, this is just like a park because there are benches where you can sit and relax, they also trim the grasses here once a week so it's comfortable if you want to lie down. The whole area is clean because this place is exclusive to the residents of the subdivision and not many people come here often so when I want to be alone sometimes, I always go to this place. Nick and I sat on the grass while I put down the donuts and an empty cup of coffee on the grass.

"She may not look like much at this moment. But she has both those qualities and a divine grace to her." Evelyn cringed. Every single time his hand had come anywhere near Kendra she would flinch. And the entire time she kept a smile plastered to her face. 'This girl is broken.' Evelyn hated seeing it, to a degree it reminded her very much of her own past. Unfortunately The Garden was a business, just like they weren't there to solve world hunger,. they were not an abuse shelter, nor the police. Evelyn's phone buzzed from a text message. She pulled it out glancing at it before allowing a groan to slip . 'Give the girl a chance.' The text was Collen.

The vegetation that was everywhere one could look was lush, even tropical looking almost. “How is this possible?” I asked of no one in particular. The Captain answered, “Welcome to Eden. You may well be the first Russian to see this place, at least we can hope so.” As he said that I didn’t miss the dark look given to me by the CIA dude. Must have a thing against Russians, only I really wasn’t Russian, rather I was an American and yet I seemed to have none of the rights of one. The Captain went on, “What we’re floating along into right now is a jolly old caldera of a mostly sunken volcano.”
