Even through the glass, her blood glimmered faintly, silver threads coiling through crimson like liquid moonlight.

“You feel it too,” murmured a voice from the shadows.
The High Witch stepped into the clearing, veiled in a cloak blacker than the night itself. Her presence bent the air around her, heavy with power. She carried no torch, yet her pale face was visible, her eyes glowing faintly violet.
She was older than anyone alive in Golden Valley, older than the laws they clung to.
“Her blood hums like prophecy,” she whispered, extending one skeletal finger toward the vial. “A bridge between wolf and witch. Between life and… what waits beyond.”
