Maddox’s POV: Caleb and I swung our heads toward Eldric while screeching in unison, “What? How?” Staring into the distance, he nodded very slowly, lost in thought, “A witch.” Caleb frowned in confusion, “I thought you said we burned all the witches loyal to Derek’s regime.” Glancing at him, Eldric answered, “Not them. She’s someone else. Old, powerful, cunning. Air is her element, and her expertise is to track scents…even if they’re decades old.”

Under the blood-red moon, thousands of werewolves dropped to their knees. "W-Witchcraft! This has to be witchcraft!" Lucas stammered, trembling as he tried to stand. "Elena bought off a witch!" The werewolves exchanged glances, already on the verge of switching sides. Suddenly, an ancient voice resounded from the sky. 12 black-robed Elders came gliding in from the direction of the sacred temple. The Grand Elder landed first. When his gaze fell on me, his voice quivered. "Golden eyes… Princess Elena… is a half-wolf carrying the bloodline of the Original Werewolf!"

This particular spell could only be used by high priestesses and only a high priestess more powerful than the one that casted the spell could see her or undo it. Elder Lazarus was not a witch, he did not have our blood and he was a full-fledged wolf. I was sure of this so how was this possible?

The wolf lunged at them and they held him mid-air with magic before flinging him to a tree. "Empathy? We are here because the elders forced us to be here not because we have an iota of respect for the queen of vampires." The dark-haired witch walked towards the wolf who stood up almost immediately to attack them. She snapped her fingers and instantly the wolf held his head in pain, she is causing him a headache. I waved my hand at them and they all tumbled to the ground. "Who are you?" The red-haired witch stared at me with visible disgust evident in her face.

Not in billion immortal years. “You are more powerful than you realize, Alora,” Eirlys said gently. “You have both witch and werewolf blood running through your veins. You are a bridge between our worlds. And now, you must take your rightful place and rebuild the witches.” I opened my eyes and looked down at Nevaeh, her dark hair and features an echo of her father’s. My heart twisted painfully at the thought of Rune, at the man who had tried to kill our daughter. He would never meet her. He would never know her. She was mine now, and she was meant for something greater, just like me.

Someone else let out a low whistle. Dahlia paused, letting them react in their own, quiet ways. Atticus dug the toe of his boot into the earth, imagining he was pressing it into this Apollo’s face. He couldn’t bear the thought of any other man holding his girl. “They are searching for another witch to finish her work,” Dahlia continued. “But Eryne was the most powerful in Eldda. Nobody has been able to live up to her standard yet.” “Yet,” interjected Atticus, looking around at the wolves pointedly. “So we must move fast. We cannot delay until the next moon cycle is complete.”

At its center, encircled by ancient ruins, the stone bier lay surrounded by thirteen witches, their silver robes glistening with dew. As Ryker and Nova dismounted, the head witch stepped forward. Her eyes were blind and milky. “You have come to witness a miracle, Alpha.” Ryker narrowed his eyes. “What kind of miracle?” She gestured to the bier. “The return of blood. Of legacy.” There, beneath a sheer veil of glowing silk, a figure lay still. Slender. Familiar. Her chest rose and fell in slow, unnatural rhythm. The witches began to chant.

Alexis mumble with food in her mouth "I know you will like it, eat up okay" "Erin, master Douglas told me that the witch wasn't the exact people that killed my parents, it was the lycans cos they used the witch to achieve that" Alexis said after drinking a water to gulp down the foods she ate before she can continue eating

“What do you know about blood witches?” That snapped the sleep right out of me. “Blood witches?” I repeated, frowning. “Yes.” I sat up straighter, pulling the blanket around me. “Well… they’re sworn enemies of wolves. Everyone knows that. They use blood magic, dark and twisted, and they manipulate people into doing their bidding. They’re dangerous, Elena. The worst kind of dangerous.” Elena’s eyes darkened, her fingers twisting the hem of her sleeve. “Why?” I asked slowly. “Why are you suddenly asking about them?”
