Me: Ohh… I nodded. Ryan: If you say so, Alpha. Well, Elliot told me everything, and in this case we’re going to need one more person. Elliot and I frowned as the door opened. A girl with purple-and-black hair walked in, wearing ripped jeans, boots, and a black jacket. Her bright green eyes almost looked supernatural. Ryan: Gentlemen, the only person who can piece the puzzle—meet Jade. I gave her a smile. She flashed me a quick one, then nodded at Elliot.

Emma giggled. “You do too!” “Well, I’m glad you guys like your bath stuff. It’s so hard to pick for someone else, ya know?” A she wolf with long, jet black hair, tan skin, and striking blue eyes entered the room addressing Emma and I with a warm smile. “Jade, Emma, this is Jasper’s mate and our beta female Cleo.” Elliott gestured to this beautiful girl and her smile grew wider. I couldn’t help but feel drawn to her, she had such a vibrant energy about her.

I finished my business and was at the tap, washing my hands with running water when i heard the sounds of heels and the sound of the door clicking shut. "You really think that you're so much of a hot shot, don't you?" - Irina's disdainful voice reached my ears as i smiled. "That's really a compliment coming from you. I've never really seen myself as a hot shot" - I turned my attention to her petite figure. She wore a white dress that clinched at the waist, adorned in sparkling jewels with a diamond pendant hanging down her frail neck. Ah! - she was really going to be the downfall of Jason. She wanted to be surrounded by people that made her feel loved, as if nothing had changed despite the horrid past she found out about. Today, she had plans to eat with her friends on a picnic that Leaf had planned on campus. She wore the pink blush dress Andy bought her, which fit her teenage disguised body well. It flowed around her ankles delicately as the material was light and whimsical, just like Andy. Elara smiled at her reflection as she ran her hand down the wrinkle on her dress, fixing it with her magic as she did.

Jade was very still. "Then who," she said. Priya said a name. Jade sat at her desk for a long moment looking at her screen without seeing it. "Say it again," she said. Priya said it again. The name was Eleanor Voss Mercer. Her mother. The office noise continued around her, the floor assembling itself into its Tuesday morning rhythms, Dana's voice somewhere outside the glass, the elevator opening and closing, the ordinary percussion of a working building. Jade sat inside all of it and felt the specific quality of a world that has just rearranged itself around a single piece of information.

She had long black hair that touched her waist and that was all most people had seen of her. But, some people had seen than that. They had seen her fingers and her nails which were always painted black and were always covered by gloves. Some had seen her eyes which were always surrounded by black shades of eye shadow and her lips that seemed blacker each time you looked at it. But, none had noticed those bright blue irises that sparkled whenever she smiled. Neither had anyone seen her smile. They all knew her name and all she did but most of them would never recognize her if she wore a color other than black. Anna stops at the girls and Liam while Jynx, Beatrice and Zelda walk over to me. Jynx crosses her arms over her chest and smirks. “I see your arrogance has gotten you into trouble again.” I roll my eyes. “Enough. It’s bad enough I’ve upset Anna.” Jynx scoffs. “Upset?
