The young girl sucked a breath in, and as ordered ceased crying and stared at me, her lovely blue eyes burning into mine. “So, you’re a werewolf?” she asked me suspiciously, then turned to Emily as well. “Are you a wolf?” We both took a deep breath and I let Emily answer since she appeared to have a closer connection with the girl than I did, and I expected that.
