I opened my eyes and saw a gorgeous woman with dark hair and beautiful gray eyes. She had made the tree explode into a million pieces, and I looked at the now-vanished tree in shock. She sat on Asher’s car’s passenger seat, making me gasp. “Ash?” I asked, making him chuckle. “The name’s Emily. Nice to meet you, honey. Now, let's go kick some ass, shall we?” she says as Asher steps on it, surpassing us. “Was that-” “Emily Slate, former beta, Tyler’s wife. She’s their healer and a witch herself. She's pretty cool, huh?” Hunter says, making me look at him in amazement.

And no, he isn’t married. Honestly? I don’t want him to be. I don’t want a stepmother nightmare in my life.”

We celebrated a few holidays that the humans embraced-birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Easter and those were the moments that were captured and framed. Technically, she’s one-hundred-and-nine but she stopped aging at nineteen.
