Maybe if she was here and had seen it just like I have, I wouldn't have been questioning my own sanity. I stared at the ceiling, listening to Liam's breathing even out as he fell asleep beside me. But sleep felt impossible. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw that crimson mark burning against Hailey's skin. Or was I really imagining things?
