What Hell May Come

What Hell May Come

It always smelt of model glue. Apart from a small rack at the back of a chain bookstore at the mall, this was the only place for his friends to buy role playing materials, and the selection here was even skimpier. Weird off-brand titles haunted the single shelf of games. Role Aids, Flying Buffalo, Judges Guild. While waiting for the owner to help a customer, he flicked through a flimsy softcover, bound like a spiral notebook, named Spawn of Fashan. Jon took in its ugly layout, with bad art and densely packed text. Hideous. He threw it back. The owner was an old man, sporting skinny arms and a fat belly. Cotton white hair stuck out of his ears, and rainbow suspenders held up a ratty pair of b

THE REFLECTION GAME

THE REFLECTION GAME

Anna's voice trembled as she continued reading aloud from the ancient tome, her friends huddled around her. The faint glow of the library's enchanted lanterns cast eerie shadows on the walls, making the symbols on the pages seem to shimmer with a life of their own. “This book—it talks about the Forgotten Anchors,” Anna said, her voice barely above a whisper. “It says they’re fragments of the original Reflection Game. They were scattered to keep something imprisoned. Something powerful.” Logan leaned in, his brow furrowed. “Are you saying the Reflection Game isn’t just a test? It’s a prison key?”

Iridian

“unlucky contestants…shelf two, book thirteen.” It sounded oddly like a personal note. My curiosity won out and I skimmed my fingers along the spines of the books until I chose one at random. I pulled out a medium-sized book, a deep shade of navy blue. Earthen twine was wrapped around the book, and there was a picture on the front. A middle-aged man with chocolate hair and dark eyes smiled up at me. The cover of the book read, “Arthur Zimmerman, Game 71.

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

The One Way Ticket

The One Way Ticket

After roughly two minutes, they were lying tummy down on the rough hay that itched their skin, staring at the tattered book. “Have you opened it yet?” “Nah, not at all. I've been very curious and once tried taking a sneak peek but its best if we check it together.” Cwena gently placed her hand on the book. Low key, she wished the book will open and start spilling out spells she could use - spells for understanding all Chess styles of playing like the French and maybe, one formula that answered all math equations in the world! Gerey on the other hand expected the pages of the book to shine bright gold - almost blinding so that he could tear off a few pages for sale, but none of their wishes

The Freak Is The Mate Of The Lycan

The Freak Is The Mate Of The Lycan

The cut on my shoulder was just a silvery-pink line. The only thing that hadn't healed was the cold, hard knot of rage in my chest. That, I nurtured. I read until my eyes burned. The books were not a gift. They were a threat. Pack Law and Governance. The Great Wars. Blood Oaths. It was the rulebook for a game I was already losing. And Ares, the game master, had not returned. He was letting me stew. Letting me arm myself, just to make the game more interesting.

“Depends. In this case, they will not wake up until the finished five death scenarios.” “I see…” She cutely nodded her head and leaned her head against Orange’s arm. “Does that mean my brothers are already in the book?” “Yes. They have adjusted well and are waiting for the victims to appear. They will start the game as soon as everyone enters the book.” “What the game is called, brother?” He smiled. “Vicious cycle.”

He Was My Crush

For a split second, I thought he wasn't going to reply. " Hi." He said and focused on the book. Okay, at least we're making progress. " Um... What are you reading?" I asked. " A book?" " I... I know it's a book. Like, what's the title?" " THE GAME by Anjay" " Oh that...I've read that. It's a really good book." " Yeah... Don't tell me about it. I don't want spoilers." He said. " I wasn't planning to." I said, then kept quiet.
