I rolled my eyes, " yeah whatever." I was blinded by the camera flashes as we walked out of the hospital entrance, so I closed my eyes and felt pushed behind a massive body. Aiden had grabbed my arm and was protecting me with his body as the reporters pounced on me. "I'm Reiner, is it true that your wife was arrested for possession of a controlled substance?" One reporter asked.

Suddenly, his hands grasped my throat. Choking, gagging for air clutched at his hands with my own. The sting of power that lived within him struck me like an electric shock. “I think in the future you should think about your words more carefully before letting them spill out of that pretty little mouth. I’d so hate to see those lips ripped from your skull, Chief Darksyde.” He snickered before throwing me to the ground.

Marc nodded curtly. Charlie moved to a thick heavy wooden door, bars making a window to the darkness beyond, unlocking it, he went through. Marc descended the worn stone steps behind the guard, his eyes adjusting to the gloom slowly. They descended deep into the ground, the air becoming dense with the smell and taste of dirt. The chill gripped at Marc’s warm skin as his feet reached the final step, the compacted soil as hard as the stone of the steps under his shoes.

But now… that dream seemed like a distant memory, slipping further away with each passing moment. Tears streamed down my face as I tugged and pulled at the cold chain that now bound me, but it was useless. The metal didn’t give, and with every desperate attempt to free myself, my hands only grew more bruised. Then maybe she'll understand what true love feels like," Lot spat, glaring at her with pure hatred.

I snapped, turning and trying to look around the tree to her, but I couldn’t see her. “What’s best for my people.” “Do you really think Kaiden will let you get away with this? If he didn’t want me here, he would have just let me go when I ran last night!” I insisted, pulling against the chains as I heard the lock click shut behind me. The metal dug into my waist, keeping my arms trapped by my sides. I pressed my hands against my thighs, trying to make myself as small as possible as I thrashed around, hoping to get the chain to drop.

I smiled at the memory, my best friend was back. "Now, what do we have here?" The Guardian pointed to a latch on the floor, covered by the grass. It was a camouflage and it was impressive. I watched dumbfounded, as The Guardian pried open the latch. It was a passageway, with steps leading down. He quickly entered, while we followed in quick succession. When we got to the last step, The Guardian looked upwards, as the door closed with force, sealing us in the darkness. Or so I thought..
