THE VENGEFUL LUNA

THE VENGEFUL LUNA

I looked up at him, wiped my eyes on the sleeve of my shirt. He moved closer until he was standing right in front of me, our feet nearly touching. He offered me his hand * * * I walk up the beach from Ella’s. I can see the lights from my own house just ahead, not more than two or three hundred feet away. I see that Victory’s bedroom light is off, and I smile to myself, wondering how Esperanza always convinces her to go to sleep without any fuss. I generally wind up lying on the floor of her bedroom, chatting with her quietly as the colored fish from her rotating night-light swim on the walls and ceiling.

TILL DEATH DO US PART.

TILL DEATH DO US PART.

ZYRA. "Yara, I don't know. I thought it was Shawn sending them at first to be romantic, but the letters didn't match the occasion." I picked up a letter. It read "I'm coming Esperanza. For you and that failure of yours, Ria." Chills ran through my body. I picked up another letter. "Going on cute dates bitch? I can see that you haven't learnt-" I squeezed it and threw it away. I picked up another one.

It's not everytime we get books like this, it shouldn't always be about smut all the time. I love this book because it captures and reflect on how everything is supposed to feel like when you're in love.

I think this book has so much potential as I’m still in the first few chapters. I also see that people are reading it with me and I think everyone should lay out their opinions. My favorite character has to be Zee.

Rise After the Fall

Rise After the Fall

Daniel’s niece, Veronica, was the first to raise her phone and scream. Then cheers followed one after another. “Wow! Veronica is right! I got fifty thousand too!” “Same here! The company really delivered this year!” “Mr. Aster is so generous! Hard work pays off! Let’s make next year even greater!” … One shout of “fifty thousand” after another burst around me like firecrackers. I lowered my head and checked my banking app. It was empty. Just like previous years, there wasn’t a single deposit notification. A tight frustration slowly built in my chest.

Rising from the Quiet Storm

Rising from the Quiet Storm

"Time is money for us. You know what happens when you cross me." Alfred's face flushed a deep crimson. He knew all too well the dire consequences. The last guy who crossed Carol had his life turned upside down in no time, living a life even a beggar would pity. However, to dig through trash in front of me was a line he could not cross. At that moment, a sharp voice echoed from around the corner. "What in the world are you doing?" Alfred latched onto the voice like a drowning man to a lifeline. "Jen, help me out here! They're throwing their weight around, making me dig through the trash!"

Prime Omega {Rising Into Power}

Prime Omega {Rising Into Power}

He then dismissed me after he was done taunting me. While I cleaned the hall, I was humming my favourite song. It was a song about freedom. As I hummed, tears came down my eyes but I kept my determination and didn't stop cleaning. Hope was my only anchor. "Why are you crying?" Said a voice to me as I cleaned the floor. It sounded like a boy's voice. I turned around and saw that it was Elijah's grandchild. He was about ten years old. "Wow! Little one. What are you doing here?" I replied. "Uhhhm, nothing. I'm just playing. You've not answered my question. Why are you crying?" Asked the boy. "Oh! Nothing" I replied, after which I chuckled a little. "You should not be here. Go back to your house

A RISE FOR GRACE

A RISE FOR GRACE

It was a dream shared by many youngsters in Lacoste Town, a glimmer of hope in an otherwise ordinary existence. So, I worked tirelessly throughout high school, participating in every extracurricular activity, and achieving perfect grades to qualify for the coveted Picaremore University scholarship. When the scholarship finally came through, it was like a beacon of hope shining brightly upon me. I still remember the jubilation and celebration that ensued when I received my admission letter. Little did I know that my journey to Shenza City would be fraught with challenges, some of which I never could have imagined. Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

Eliza: The Awakening (Book 1)

Stopping mid-stairwell, her mother called out with concern, “Where are your clothes? Why were you out naked? How did you get so filthy!” “I’ll be down in a minute!” Eliza impatiently shouted as she rushed into the bathroom and locked the door behind her. It was a logical question for her mother to ask, and understandable for her to be concerned, but it still irritated Eliza. The only child of Viviane and Arthur Eaglesworth, she’d grown up feeling stifled by her mother’s attention and excessive affections. After experiencing the freedom of single life in the city, she’d had her doubts about moving back in with them a few months earlier, but the work and financial setbacks that she’d experienc
