"You must be Cynthia, right? I’ve heard so much about you. You're Ethan’s best friend who's always looking out for him. Thank you for taking care of him all this time." Her words were polite, but her posture made it clear she saw me as no more than a footnote in Ethan’s life, someone to be tolerated, not respected. Before I could even respond, Ethan cut in, his tone sharp. "Who said she’s my friend? She's always throwing a tantrum over nothing. If she had any guts, she would’ve stayed in the Arctic and never come back." I didn’t bother replying. There was no point in arguing with him here, in front of all these people.

Gran huffed. Ethan laughed and patted his stomach over the white t-shirt. "I will always pick Gran's food over these abs. So spoil me as much as you can beautiful lady!" Ethan said to Gran and both of them fist-bumped dismissing me. Duh! All right. "I didn't know you care so much about my abs. Be honest, do you want to see them?" Ethan winked. Of course, I wanted to see them but that doesn't mean I would admit it aloud.

As Ethan saw Brad his mind wandered to how cute Katie looked in her form fitting shorts when she showed up to training, always on Wednesdays which had recently become his favorite day of the week. His day dreaming ended when he heard his friend say, "Hey man, share the joke. What is it that has you looking so happy?" This was exactly what Ethan didn't want. He couldn't let anyone, not even his best friend, know that he was having such strong lustful thoughts towards Katie. The thoughts made him feel like he was doing something wrong. "Actually, I... like everything about my Butterfly." He answered, moving his eyes back at them and I smiled broadly.

Ethan said, eyeing at Arthur. “Interested?” Jake asked. “Very much,” “Hmmm. Be careful. He seems like he is into women,” Jake warned his friend. He was very well aware that Ethan was gay. Ethan had been openly gay since he was in high school. Thanks to his free spirit and fun loving character, all of the people who he came across seemed to understand him and love him, love him, and respect him for whatever kind of person he is. And Ethan didn’t give two shits about people who looked at him weirdly for being gay.

He turned on the music, and it was a slow, melodic tune which I’d heard a few times on TikTok. I couldn’t believe he listened to stuff like that. They say that he’s cold, but I’ve gotten to know another side to him. He’s caring, family oriented, and all around just good. I’ve never felt more safe in my life.” “Wow.” Oliver said, with a sparkle in his eye. “I think you’re right. Nobody knows our Ethan in his true form. You must be pretty special if he allowed you into his world.”
