Evans blows her whistle once again and Ethan and I go at it.
He launches two balls at me, I dodge one and catch the second. With one already in my right hand, I gather up all the strength I can and hurls both balls at him. He first one misses him by a hair’s length and the second one hits his thigh, throwing him off balance. He falls, face first.
The crowd is quiet and their attention is not on the sulking man on the ground. It’s on the first ball, the one stuck in the wall.
