Danial’s heart thumped in his chest as the tension in the room thickened. Sara’s saber gleamed under the fluorescent lights as she pointed it at him, her eyes lit up with excitement. "Fight me!" she declared, her voice ringing with anticipation. Danial blinked in shock. “What??” he exclaimed, standing up in disbelief. He had been mentally preparing for a tense briefing, not a duel with a sword-wielding maniac. "Why?" Danial continued, shaking his head, still trying to grasp the situation. "I understand that what happened that day was my fault, and I’m ready to apologize, but why do you want to fight me?"

The surge of Senna coming forward nearly knocked me over as she returned fully. ‘Mate! Mate!’ Senna yelled as I turned around. ‘I have been trying to tell you he is our mate! Go get him!’ I faced Anders, his scent washing over me. It was the most amazing smell. I took a deep breath and looked up, finally making eye contact with him. His eyes were a dark green. A growl escaped his lips before he closed the gap between us, taking me in his arms.

Author's POV The stadium was getting even more heated Sage noted. The shouts had gotten louder especially during this forth fight. Even her eyes glued on both soldiers. There was something in the way their arms flexed as they fought. They grabbed for each other like wild animals and it thrilled her. She wondered what it would be like to be in such a fight. A part of her told her it wouldn't be like the one with Dominic. She knew for a fact he would do his best not to be too rough.

“Seriously, what’s going on? You’ve been staring at that page so long I’m starting to think you’re memorizing the ink.” “I told you. I’m fine.” “Liar.” Her lips curved into a knowing smirk. “This is about the fight, isn’t it? Everyone’s been talking nonstop.” “Let them.” “Oh, come on, you don’t even want to know what they’re saying?” she teased. “Some say Ethan had Soren pinned and only let him up because he pitied him. Others say Soren didn’t even break a sweat.” I groaned. “Ridiculous.”

San's POV “Mate is participating in the Martial Arts competition !” Sierra exclaimed in surprise as soon as we saw the Fatso Dicks enter the arena along with the other participants. Everyone seemed amused to see the enormous figures tie each other’s shoe laces and belts around each other especially the Draven twins who never missed any opportunity to mess up with the Fatso Dicks. The twins purposely messed up with their laces and belts but the victims relentlessly continued to help each other without bothering about their bullies.

“Uaarghhh!!” But it looks like I don't need to fight at all since someone else is already handling them. Yup, Alliando and the others arrived just before the guys hit me. And thankfully my friends really understand how to fight. Even Siena moved her fists along! I was completely amazed by the change in her expression. Whereas before she looked frightened and trembled at the thought that the screams we heard were ghost screams, and now her face turned fierce with a sharp glare. Well, it looks like she's much more afraid of ghosts than humans, in contrast to me. "Ah!"

As soon as we were a distance away, Sana turned to us with a serious eyes. "We need to wipe the floor with their asses. Show no mercy. I don't care if your little girlfriend or husband is on the other team. We are playing to win. Treat this as war." She growled. The look on her face was half barbaric and half gleeful. I couldn't help it, I threw my head back and let out the bark of laughter I had been holding in. Sana looked thoroughly unimpressed by my reaction. She crossed her arms and glared. "Something funny."
