Excerpt From Wolf Stalker Novels & Stories

Caleb comes to the front and kills the first one with a swipe of his claws to the wolf's throat. I missed the next one as it sank its teeth into my shoulder, pulling me slightly off-balance, but that didn't stop me from killing the next one with a fist through his chest. The fourth one also sinks his teeth into my leg, pulling finally, taking me to the ground. I remove my hand from the chest of the wolf and let it drop to the side of me. I then punch the wolf that is still pulling and shredding the skin on my leg. I spoke with a flat tone and watched the colour drain from his face and fear take over. “Kill him.” He shouted as he shifted into a muddy coloured brown wolf. One that was no match for my own. I ran straight for him, shifting mid air into Khaos' huge black wolf. One of the other wolves came at me from the side as Jack went in for my throat. Both were nothing, as I kicked my back legs out at the unknown rogue and heard the snapping of bones as I shattered his jaw. Followed by his yelp of pain. Jack, seeing that he wasn't going to get my throat veered left and jumped onto my back, sinking his teeth into my shoulder.

A smile spread across my face in fulfillment. I shut my eyes, prepared to embrace the inevitable, but suddenly, the air around me was filled with a captivating scent of vanilla and cinnamon. A strange sense of familiarity washed over me, and my dispirited wolf suddenly came alive. I opened my eyes at once, and the first person they landed on was the mysterious man I had encountered while being dragged to the stake. In that moment, my wolf screamed, "Mate!"

Lyra's POV Ice-blue eyes pierce the darkness, their intensity making me cringe. I stumble backward, my feet tangling in an unseen root. As I fall, a massive white wolf emerges from the shadows, its pristine fur marred by splatters of crimson. The coppery scent of blood fills my nostrils, growing stronger as the creature approaches, lips curled back to reveal razor-sharp teeth. The hunger radiating from it is palpable. No, not hunger – ravenous, all-consuming starvation.

RAYNE A deep growl came from the corner of the room. Bright red eyes burned into my skin. I stumbled back until my back hit the door. I ran back up the stairs I had fallen from. "Help! Somebody help!" A grey wolf slowly stepped out of the shadows. The flickering light inside the basement revealed a deep scar running through his left eye. The wolf made his way up the staircase. He lunged at me, his sharp claws missing me by just an inch. The sound of chains clinking echoed in the silence.

I have to keep running. I tripped as the ground fell out from under me. I went tumbling into a thick bush before I hit running water. It was deep. I came up out of the water begging for air. At the top of the trench I could hear my stalker pacing after me. The water was taking me away. I was escaping. The wolf stared me down. It's eyes glowed a yellow hew. The forest had been pitch black before. I dreamed in black and white... but its fur seems darker than black, like it could be color to my empty world.

Three rogue wolves rushed towards Alpha Clause and I, and I recognized one as the one Alpha Clause described as Alpha Ross, the Alpha that went rogue. He was a black wolf with a white scar the shape of lightning under his left eyelid. He together with a brown wolf attacked Alpha Clause, leaving me unprotected for the smaller wolf that was ash in color to attack me. They might have thought that I was weak and that was why they had only one small wolf attack me, but I was strong and I would show them. I threw a kick at the wolf's jaw and he reared back, letting out a loud growl both in pain and anger.

I was even more confused now. A scratching sound from outside caught my attention, and I turned towards the nearest window. There was someone outside trying to listen to our conversation. I sprang from the bed and reached the door in a split second, opening it to grab hold of the stalker. It was an enormous gray wolf, a shifter like us, unaffected by the blizzard, peering in through the closed window. He turned to look at me, sensing my presence. A gasp escaped my mouth at the sight of his glowing green eyes. I knew who he was. Our stalker in the white Chevrolet! The blizzard made it impossible for me to keep the door open. Closing my eyes, I thanked the heavens for my escape from the wolves. “What are you doing in my territory?" a familiar deep voice questioned. Opening my eyes, I turned my head to see that creepy Ralph of a man. He stood, dressed in all black, accompanied by a large black wolf beside him. The wolf growled softly, its eyes never leaving me. When it started walking toward my way, I quickly rose to my feet, stumbling backwards. Just before the wolf could reach me, Ralph took a gun from the back of his pants and aimed it in my direction.
