It erupted. It didn't fire a beam. It didn't send drones. It simply unfolded like a piece of dark origami, and from its center stepped a being that made the previous Architects look like children’s toys. It was a figure of pure, blinding white light. The black bloody wound looked deep and painful, but Mrs. Eva tried to endure it. The white skin of the woman grew pale. “If you say that again, you will die,” the man with the deep voice sneered. “Besides, I know you're lying. One of my Argas made the mistake of saying that a Daga would be tasked with taking Zanxer to the hideout. We killed that Daga, not knowing that it was you who was actually assigned. Ezekiel breathed out as he pulled the second fragment of the Sword of the Doombringer from the current owner. He pulled his sword and smiled at the level of destruction he had caused in this world. The Scythe of Death vibrated in his grip, but the power continued to flow smoothly as if Ezekiel's level of darkness was slowly catching up with the darkness that powered the Scythe.

"There was never another plan." They stepped forward at the same time. The Twin Blades rose. Silver and gold light collided with the black lance. The explosion blinded everyone. A shockwave tore across the battlefield. The bridge shattered. The remaining fragments of the trial dissolved into streams of light. When the dust settled... The black lance was gone. Only tiny particles of darkness drifted through the air before disappearing completely. The creature stared in disbelief. "No..." Its voice trembled. "My power..." Kael lowered his sword. "You were wrong."

Each stab avoided my critical organs. I begged him to let me go, but he said, "Didn't you say you would always be with me, my darling?" I tried to flee when he went to the bathroom, but he caught me. He forced me to the balcony while brandishing his knife; I left a vivid trail of blood from the living room to the balcony. Underneath the moonlight, he stared at my right hand like a starved beast. Ultimately, he swung the blade at me, stabbing me in the heart. Then, he shoved me off the balcony of our apartment, which was on the 20th floor.

He stands to his feet, as though he isn’t losing a concerning amount of blood, and moves to stand at the beast’s side. Zen starts to rip of clucks of skin off its back. Almost like an animal himself, using both hands to tear through flesh and blood, until finally, pieces of the spine are tore out. I don’t know how long he does it, or how long the crowd, the soldiers or Lukas and I stand there, watching in a daze. Finally, Zen stops. Only now does he pull his obsidian blade out of the beast’s skull, blood pooling around the slayed creature.
