No one knew her exact location and to be honest, I didn’t care. Ezra was now the Alpha of Emberfang, and it suited him. Calm, wise, and just. He restored order and trust faster than anyone expected. Mason, Darius’s ever-loyal second, had stepped into the role of Beta. He wore it with quiet pride, though he would never be like Ezra who was Darius’s childhood friend. And As for me, I had become Luna.

She throws the dagger aside, and when she tries to make a move with her bracelet, she realizes it’s gone. Selene smirks, holding up the stone in her hand. She had taken advantage of Eisheth’s distraction, slipping close enough to steal it. "You wretched!" Eisheth’s strength diminishes rapidly without the object. When she tries to lunge at Selene again, the latter tosses the bracelet into the sky, and with the power of the Terrakai, it lands directly in Serena’s hands. Connor transforms into Sorem, and in a rage-filled desperation, he charges at Eisheth. His fangs sink straight into her jugular. He shakes her violently until her head tears from her body.

He looked a bit worn out, but thankfully, he looked to be in one piece. I handed him one of the many scarves I tied around me so he could cover his face.

Sydney watched in displeasure but didn't utter a word as the Alpha steered Ezra towards the exit. Ezra's heart didn't stop pounding as he was led towards the horse still waiting out front. He could feel the anger coming off Alpha Cage in waves and he knew he had fucked up. He hadn't meant to let what he knew about the rebellion slip but it had come out anyway, and now he was regretting it. Alpha Cage lifted him onto the horse without as much as another word and mounted right after he did. They were in the same position as they had been when they arrived but now there was tension...and anger.

Perhaps she was delusional. “Rain Gretchintown! Your presence is requested at The Bridge.” “The Bridge?” Rain repeated. What the hell? Why in the world would she go there? She didn’t recognize the voice. She thought about shooting the speaker, but that wouldn’t actually kill the speaker. “If you value the rebels that left with you, find your way to The Bridge, Rain. Now.”

She had heard about the rebels, and she knew that they were skilled fighters who sought to overthrow the oppressive monarchy and establish a new, more just society. If anyone could help her, it was them. "I need your help," Karen said, stepping towards the rebels. "I need to get out of here and find a way to fight back." The rebel leader smiled. "You've come to the right place, little wolf. We'll help you. But first, you need to prove yourself. You need to show us that you're willing to fight for what you believe in." Karen nodded, feeling a sense of determination fill her. She would do whatever it takes to win her freedom and shape her destiny.

He hesitates, and that hesitation tells me he’s been wondering the same thing. “Yeah, it definitely knows something’s about to happen.” Ezra finally speaks. “Then don’t make it wait.” I look at him. There is no hesitation in his voice. No doubt. But there is something else. Something quieter. Something he is not saying out loud. Don’t go too far. I nod slightly. Then I turn my focus inward. Toward the bridge. Toward the connection that now defines more of me than anything else. The coalition responds instantly. Awareness sharpening. Attention focusing. Bridge bearer. The voice is no longer distant.
