Memoires of a mafia princess

Memoires of a mafia princess

Although I hated my underweight, I knew it was something others seemed to celebrate. I chose a perfume to put on before giving myself one last glance, I knew I would never be happy with the way I looked, from my grey cat eyes to my pin-straight hair, my underweight and pale face, and m high cheekbones on my oval face, my mother called me from downstairs, the cab was there to drive us to Mustang County where my school was located.

Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

“Then again, at five, or six years old, everyone is taller than you, right? Sorry, I’m not being helpful.” Saph pulls her chair up next to Pearl and runs her fingers through Pearl’s bright, blonde locks. I remember that always helped Pearl relax. She doesn’t remember, but our mother always did that to her when she was fussy as a baby and toddler. “Amy is accurate in remembering that he was an asshole. He is pretty tall. Not as tall as you, Darius. Maybe just over six feet. I remember his hair was black. His eyes were bluish-gray. I remember thinking his eyes were like icicles. If I stared at him for too long, he would make me feel like I was freezing from the inside out,” I felt a shiver run

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

To Remember Her

To Remember Her

My fingers caressed the colored notes in my hands and the familiar feeling of longing overwhelmed me. FLASHBACK NARRATIVE ~16 years ago~ *Aidan's Elementary School* A little boy ran into the class of about fifteen kids. "Y'all!" He called the attention of his mates. "I heard 'boo hoo' couldn't get his fees paid. Boo-hoo!" He went to stand in front of a petite boy of around the same age as himself, blocking the little boy's view and taking his books from him.

FIRE & ICE

FIRE & ICE

DANELLE'S POV I usually never got cold easily ,even when I was still a kid..I had a high tolerance of coldness and winter was my favourite season of the year actually..The temperatures here in summer were insane and I wasn't really a big fan of sweaty body and all that summer stuff..Shit actually made my skin scrawl..But right now ,standing fucking shirtless outside that cabin like I was freaking Arnold Schwarzenegger or something ,the storm still heavy like it was never intending to stop any time soon ;I needed that fucking heat..Anushka was taking fucking eternity to change into such simple shirt and joggers but I knew better than to just get back inside there ;the woman almost made me rip

A FATED MISTAKE

A FATED MISTAKE

As if looking into my inner soul, Staring right at me was a pair of blue eyes so vivid it felt like I was looking into the ocean's depths. Could those eyes belong to Alpha Grayson? Why was he studying my interaction with the warrior? Why not just come down and greet me himself? I felt my anger start to rise. I was angry that nearly thirty years later, my family was still being treated like garbage. I was mad that Alpha Grayson had time to meet with me, but he pushed me aside like I meant nothing; and I was livid that he was forcing me to go to the banquet, knowing that the pack females would torment me for being a Macafee.

Cold Feet, Colder Heart: His Remorse Begins

Cold Feet, Colder Heart: His Remorse Begins

Everyone looked at him respectfully, not daring to utter another word. Cassian glanced at Irina, who hinted at him to approach Faelan. Gingerly, he stepped forward. Only I remained seated, not budging even an inch. With a half smile on my face, I gazed at Faelan too. Faelan noticed my gaze and immediately straightened up. He hurried toward me. "I apologize for being late. Are you okay?" I smiled and glanced at Asher. "I'm fine. An ignorant fool offended me, that's all."

Three Years and Eighteen Goodbyes

Three Years and Eighteen Goodbyes

He used to hate the smell of alcohol in his car, so every time I had a drink on his behalf, even in winter, he would keep the convertible roof wide open. Looking back now, I realized it was only because the one in the car had been me. The midday heat in Silverport was enough to soak your clothes in sweat, but my heart felt strangely frozen. I took a deep breath and slipped the marriage registry forms back into my bag. I knew it was time to let go, not just of today, but of all eight years we had spent together.

When the Heart Remembers

When the Heart Remembers

This time, I wasn't gonna let history repeat itself. This time, I was living for me. I said flatly, "It wasn't me, so why should I apologize?" My voice was steady and calm, not weak or scared. The room went still. For the first time, my parents and Audrey looked at me in shock and fear, as if they were surprised that the quiet rabbit they'd kept in a cage all these years had suddenly turned around and bitten them.

Latent Memoirs

Latent Memoirs

There were no cars running causing traffic, the restaurants closed, the company lights turned off, the TV advertisements of different companies were not showing and all you could hear was the cold breeze of air. The deafening silence, that darkness, the lights, it reminded me of all the painful horrors of my past. The memories of that night, the worst night of my life. The night when I was left alone that I wanted to end my life. Thankfully, before I became insane and kill myself to death, I met my best friends, they're my savior.

A Year of Punishment

A Year of Punishment

He looked like a broken patient, completely stripped of the cold commanding presence he had exuded as a Don at the club earlier. For a fleeting moment, I remembered the man he used to be before his farce. He was as proud as a wild eagle, arrogant and unrestrained. Yet now, to punish me, he was willing to humiliate himself this way. I walked over silently and lifted his wheelchair before kneeling to wipe his face and hands clean. These practiced motions had become muscle memory, almost instinctive, for I had done them for the past whole year. Suddenly, he grabbed my wrist with startling strength.
