I pedal to the apartment building and tell Mom I'll visit a tailor shop. I then take off to the nearest dressmaking house. A seamstress takes the size of my body parts. I choose to have a classic, thin-strapped cadmium green halter dress to complement my pale skin. I also rent a pair of Castleton green crossover platform heeled sandals. I tell the seamstress that I'll get them tomorrow morning.

I laughed, “I may not be like this all the time, but I am very happy to actually be able to do some things that I like to do instead what I have to do.” We went to a shoe store and we looked around for the perfect shoes to go with our dresses. Taylor found a hibiscus floral print PatBO maxi dress with flutter sleeves, cut-out side designs and a laced-up back. She also got a pair of white leather L’AGENCE platform ankle strap sandals with a block heel.

Giving up, she grabbed her smartphone, sent messages to her two friends, Erna and Bianca, asking them to meet at the cafe where they usually spend their time after their class. Her eyes fixed on the high heels again, wondering whether to keep the high heels or throw it away.
