Falling Off The Cliff Novels & Stories

This is not what I expected. People are gathered at the edge of the cliff and they're all looking down. The shock is starting to wear off and is being replaced by a terrible dread. Olivia fell off the cliff. She's lying at the bottom. I rush toward the edge. I nearly push someone in the process. I hear people behind me, trying to comfort me. I ignore them all. I can't even hear them. She's not on the rocks, so she must have fallen in the ocean. It's the only way.

Samuel placed me behind him, his arms wide open to protect me. Numerous enemies were lined up before us. There’s no escape for us. I kept on stepping back while Samuel remained standing tall in front of me. My chest was full of anxiety and fear for the both of us. I continued to step back without looking back until I felt my feet stepping against nothing. One another step, my entire body turned jelly as I let myself fall off a cliff. A loud scream came out of my lips but it was too late—-to late for Samuel to hold me. He immediately turned and tried to clutch my arm, but his palm only slid against my skin.

“Say it, Lyrielle—say you’re with me, or I’ll toss you back off that cliff myself!” I glared up at him, my hands trembling but clenched into fists, nails digging into my palms until I felt the sting of blood. My voice shook with fury as I grew tired of him playing mind games with me. “You pushed me off that cliff!” I spat, the words dripping with loathing. I could still remember how it felt as I fell down the cliff—it was terrifying, and then my body was set on fire. He smirked and leaned closer again. “And yet here you are, breathing, whining—pathetic, clinging to life like a rat scrabbling in filth. You could have given up on life when I pushed you down the cliff.”

Clara’s scream echoed endlessly as she plummeted into the abyss. The black void swallowed her whole, dragging her down into its suffocating depths.
