The Groom Thief

The Groom Thief

"Nora, aren't you going too far? Ethan used to be your boss. He treated you so well. How could you do this to him? "No wonder you resigned and left so quickly back then. So this was your plan all along. You stole company money and took confidential company files. Now you're living so comfortably." Mia coldly accused me from the side. I ignored her. I looked at Ethan. After a couple of other slaves were auctioned and bought I took a glance at my watch. Two hours had passed and so far none of the slave the auction house had displayed peaked my interest. “Our next specimen is a lizard man with excellent fighting skills.” The auctioneer chanted through the speaker.

“Yes, well, it seems in the chaos of the raid, we misplaced him.” I stare at her for a moment. Only Dai Qing would say the FBImisplaceda skilled and very deadly mobster who would love to see me laid low. “You’re kidding me.” “I’m afraid not. We’re trying to determine if Nolan knew about his brother’s extraction plan.” I purse my lips. “Flint’s not a planner. Not like that. He’s an opportunist.” I pick at the blanket lying across my waist. “And I… Nolan didn’t know about the warehouse, about what Flint had planned.”

“I know him by reputation.” “And what’s that?” “Do you know the phrase, honor among thieves?” I nodded. “Sure, always sounded like bullshit.” “I think supposedly lived like that. He’s an honorable thief, or as much as that sort of thing can exist these days. He steals from the rich.” “And gives to the poor?” I said, finishing the phrase. She laughed. “Oh, god, no, I’m sure he keeps it all for himself.” I laughed with her. “Still, that’s not the impression I get from him.”

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

On the first page, the introduction stated: [The man who steals had been known as a thief, a gentleman of knowledge, a flying thief, and there are sects of stealing, such as…] “Damn it! Why are they all the same? So pretentious,” Darryl muttered, but it was not long before he was hooked on the contents of the book. The Cult Mistress was right; this was indeed an interesting read. The stealing techniques used by modern-day thieves were considered unprofessional. This included using tools such as using long tweezers to steal a phone from a lady’s bag.

i think the author needs to focus on finishing books rather than leaving lots of unfinished ones that leave your readers hanging and we do not want that. you would gain more followers and readers if you can concentrate on one story at a time and finish each book. more ongoing than completed books
SillyRabbit
This is one heck of a story. It has romance, betrayal, revenge, time travel, robots and tons of dramatic twists and turns. There are some translation mistakes here and there but overall, it’s well written.
