Every story has a beginning, some good, some bad, mine has never been a happy one, no matter who, or how I tell it, nobody will believe me. I can't rely on the people in my life, My parents ignore me, or are cruel to me, my friends are unreliable, and aren't trustworthy either. So what happens when I turn 16 years old, and run away from my problems to another world, only to find myself in the same magical world I played make belief in as a kid? With heartbreak at every turn, and a possible new relationship on the horizon, what could possibly go wrong in this world that hasn't happened to me on Earth?!

“Every mage, whether born in the slums or cradled in a palace, is born with an elemental affinity. It’s the signature of your mana—your core alignment.” With a flick of his fingers, glowing symbols flared into the air, rotating slowly in a circle: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Land, Water, and Wind. “These are the Primordial Elements—the most common, the most stable. Your affinity determines the kind of spells you naturally attune to, the type of mana you draw in, and the style you’ll fight with… or die by.” He paced slowly in front of the class. “But then—there are the Rareborn.”

“A more powerful shaman.” Unimpressed, Sir Rowan gave the mercenary the stink eye for stating the obvious. Zen simply ignored him. They couldn’t test the mage’s ability to know what it could do. The paranoid strategist wondered if Baron Leron knew anything about a goblin mage and sent a letter to the goblin-obsessed scholar. Yet, nobody knew anything useful about the potential threat. The only hint Zen received about magicians was from the drunken priest Lorren. “According to him, magicians specialise in one of the six elements. Very rarely can a magician use more than one type of element in magic,” Zen explained.

I do not understand," Ladon told the guardian, confused. "I will explain everything to you, do not worry. You managed to find a unique gem. There is no one like it anywhere else on the Earth. From now on, it belongs to you and only to you— to the Dragons. And once you have found it, you have the right to fulfill four wishes. As many as the elements of nature. Water, Air, Fire, and Earth. I could hear its paws thudding on the forest floor, chasing after me. My mind was racing as I thought of all the spells and magic I had been taught. It was a creature of light, any kind of magic I used involving light would be absorbed. Without any Water around and my skills of Air not being the greatest, Earth was the last element I could manipulate. I focused on the ground and pictured the tree's roots expanding and coming up from the dirt. I let the magic pulse through me, the ground beginning to shake under my feet. I tripped over a root in front of me, smacking into the forest floor. I gasped as I rolled forward, my skin scrape across the rough earth, scratching me.

The moment the class ended he went straight to Earth, however, it seem like he was lost. He couldn’t understand how but after almost an hour of walking down the corridors toward the tower of Earth he still couldn’t get close to it. This made him frustrated, the more time passed by the stronger the feeling of jealousy built up in his chest. He realized that this could only be because of magic, similar to an illusion, there is a magic spell that can distort someone else sense of direction. He stopped walking and paused and decided to speak,

“What are we supposed to do with these pieces of paper?” “This is special magic paper. Insert a bit of magic and it will tell you your magic nature. If it burns, you are accustomed to the fire element. If it becomes damp you are a water element user. If it splits, you are a wind elemental Knight. If it crumbles you belonged to the earth element and if it crinkles, you'll be accustomed to lightning," he explained. "What if we have a rare element?" Zain asked. "Then the magic paper will react to both of your most defined elements."

Louder she said: "How can they simply vanish? They must have occupied the whole horizon and then disappeared without a trace? What concept is that?!" The servants gulped when they saw her annoyance. Again, they looked at each other shortly, before they simultaneously issued one word that should be an answer, but sounded more like a question from their mouths. "Magic?" Katherine held back an unladylike snort. Though she didn't go to the magic academy, she knew a lot about magic. Most of them were connected to the elements. Morrigan whispers, eyes still shut. “It’s okay Morrigan, this isn’t something that is easy to master. We’ll move on for today though, so go ahead and stand up.” I instruct. I flood my body with the love and adoration I have for Winnie, and in my hand a small flame forms. What most people don’t realize about spell casters is a lot of our magic is elemental, which is why when someone is angry fire forms and when someone is sad, water is the element that is naturally occurring. Once we can control our elemental magic, we can spread out to other forms and nuances of our magic.

If I had to take a guess, I think it was Latin. Some spells were a whole page long, while others were just a few sentences short. Under each spell, Anastasia; or whoever wrote the books, noted down the level a warlock needs to be at, to be able to perform that spell, plus how much energy it will take to pull it of, and all the needed elements to help draw power from. Most of the elements were things from nature. Fire, earth, air, and water. Drawing power from them will lessen the toll the spell will put on the warlock and protects her from using all of her magic at once.
