Billionaire And His Assistant: Vincent's Hatred

Billionaire And His Assistant: Vincent's Hatred

This was the perfect sentence to explain our condition. “Complaints?” He frowned, not understanding. “Old resentments.” I smiled emptily, shaking my head in disappointment. “That is why it is called the past, Dear. It happened. You cannot change it. Leave it behind.” He whispered but it didn't satisfy me. It was so easy to speak but difficult to comply with. “But your past actions can surely define your future, you mold your future on the basis of your past mistakes. Past matters, Papa. It does.”

This is Farewell

This is Farewell

"How were things handled for Kay? Where's she laid to rest? Winston asked, choking back tears. "Ms. Greenfield's matters have all been sorted," the nurse said, casting a glance at him. "But I have no idea where she's been laid to rest. She specifically said she didn't want anyone bothering her." "What about her last words?" Winston asked, not ready to give up. "Did she leave any message for me?" "No," the nurse said, shaking her head. She hesitated before finally passing him a phone. "This is all she left behind. She asked me to burn it, but I just couldn't bring myself to wipe every trace of her from this world. That just seemed too sad…"

After the Rejection I Became His Luna

After the Rejection I Became His Luna

Forever transforming through the students I'd trained. That was immortality. That was legacy. That was everything that mattered. And I was ready. Ready to rest. Ready to let others carry the work forward. Ready to become memory and inspiration instead of active participant. That was fine. That was right. That was perfect. Goodbye. And thank you. For everything. All of it. The journey. The purpose. The impact. The love. Everything. Thank you. And goodbye. Forever.

Parshawna Macduff- The greatest Witch of the decade

He smiled as he pecked my forehead. Just then Grandma walked in and saw us smiling as she asked-" what do father and daughter discuss here without me huh?" She noticed dried tears on our cheeks. She understood what topic we must be discussing. She smiled as she said-" Remember my dear, the Past is history, we must accept the history and live with it, tomorrow is a mystery, not in our hands to control. So we have today, we must cherish it with all the happiness, as it is why called as a present."

A Thing of the Past

A Thing of the Past

However, just as I opened the door, I heard Rodney shout behind me in frustration. "I hope you find someone better than me!" I felt as if there was a rough stone lodged in my throat, causing me sharp pain. "You're the one who wanted someone better than me, Rodney. I'm only fulfilling your wish right now," I murmured. … Before I left Alluel, Cynthia organized a farewell gathering. After all, everyone knew that I would likely not return to Alluel again after leaving. Just as we wrapped up our goodbyes, I suddenly ran into Jessica, her arm looped through Rodney's.

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

“I don’t really want to get into those morbid details, Kas. It’s the past. It doesn’t matter. You have Bronx now and I have Saint. We love them very much until the end of our spirits’ journeys.” Morbid? I lean against the dresser and think for a moment. What an odd way to describe past mates. From the bathroom, I hear the shower turn off and Bronx gives a big snarling yawn. I can’t imagine living a lifetime that I don’t get to know this guy. He is perfect for me. “I know technically I can’t command you to do anything, but I am going to command you right now, okay?” “Ummm...okay?” “I command you to never ever, no matter what, never tell me how I have died in the past. I am SO glad that I read this story/book!!! It was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish!! Such a great storyline & plot, and especially characters!! SO sad that some important characters died at the end, but I know it wasn’t Kas’s fault!! I felt “every” emotion known to man while reading it!!!

Just finished “Forever in the past and forever in the future” for the second time. Loved it as much as the first time! Kas/Lex & Bronx/Saint are great, their dynamics are wonderful. The supporting characters are amazing and a great compliment to the mains. So excited to continue on with the sequel.

Because that. that was another hidden form of maturity. Understanding that honoring the past did not always mean remaining inside it forever. My chest tightened sharply. And for the first time. I understood why certain departures felt so emotionally sacred. Because sometimes people are not only leaving places behind. They are gently saying goodbye to entire versions of themselves that once believed those places would hold them forever.

Frequently Asked Questions

Opening 'Farewell to the Past' felt like stepping into a small, familiar room full of objects that hum with memory. The book follows Mara, who comes back to her coastal hometown after a decade away because her grandmother falls ill and a long-locked attic needs sorting. The inciting image is simple and vivid: a worn trunk, a stack of letters tied with string, and a faded map of secret places only children knew. At first it’s domestic—family dynamics, a town that’s slower in winter, old neighbors who remember you differently—but the way the author threads Mara’s private guilt through ordinary scenes gives everything extra weight. There’s a childhood friend named Kaito, a half-forgotten accident that left everyone fractured, and a community festival whose lanterns and old songs keep the past flickering just beneath the surface.

The middle section alternates between Mara’s present-day attempts to rebuild a life and the patchwork of memories she uncovers in letters, diary scraps, and conversations with people who have aged in ways she hadn’t expected. Those flashbacks peel back layers: the summer when a dare went wrong, the silence that followed, and how each character chose different coping mechanisms—some left town, some stayed to hold onto a version of the past. I loved how the narrative doesn’t treat memory as a single truth but as a fragile knot of perspectives; the book lets you sit in Mara’s confusion and slowly untie it. Subplots enrich the main arc, like a subplot about a washed-up theater where the townsfolk used to perform, which becomes a gathering place for reconciliation. The voices are warm and often funny, which balances the heavier stuff—guilt, betrayal, and the ache of things you can’t unmake.

The climax hinges on a confrontation that’s more emotional than sensational: Mara must choose whether to expose a long-guarded secret that will hurt people she loves or to accept that some wounds have to be acknowledged privately. She stages a small ritual at the old pier—releasing letters into the sea, speaking aloud the names she’s been avoiding—and that ceremonial letting-go is beautifully handled without melodrama. The ending isn’t a tidy sweep of all problems solved, but a realistic, tender step toward repair. Mara leaves town with a clearer sense of who she wants to be and with the knowledge that forgiveness is messy but possible. Reading 'Farewell to the Past' left me teary in a good way; it’s the kind of book that clings to your chest for a while after you close it, reminding me that our histories don’t have to trap us—they can teach us how to carry on.
