I reached for a small spray bottle of cheap linen mist. Spritz. Spritz. “Cough! God, Claire, take it easy!” Shannon, sprawled across a futon while aggressively crunching on pretzels, bolted upright. She batted the air, her face twisted in a theatrical grimace. “Is that perfume or industrial-grade pesticide? You’re going to be a walking scent-bomb. Are you teaching a seven-year-old or trying to sedate her father?” I glared at her through the glass, though my skin felt uncomfortably warm. “It’s aromatherapy, Shan. For my nerves. Besides, this is your laundry spray.”

Hensley walked into the room where Ethan was seriously last minute prepping Frieda. “Let’s pray that’s true because you’re the missing piece in our puzzle. Our ultimate weapon and the one in whom the entirety of my work rests on.” He shuffled around the lab and brought out five tiny spray bottles, they could fit in small purses. He handed them over to Frieda. “Hopefully, you don’t get to use them all. Spray once behind each ear, the nape of your neck and your wrists. That should cover it.” Frieda nodded. She kept the bottles in her purse.

It was one that Bree had opened and used to dirty some of the brushes so it at least looked like they’d used what they were given. “Yep, sure did.” Shawna nodded, but her smile was tight, probably because she didn’t like what Monica was doing to the men, namely Zach. “And the hairspray?” She reached for the can, but Chase snatched it up. “Yep. It’s practically gone, we used so much of it.” He sprayed a little more, sending it well over his head. Monica arched an eyebrow. “Really? That big can?” “I really love me some hairspray.” Chase sprayed more and then began to cough as he breathed in the fumes.

In some dessert outside a mudwalled house a rooster is trying to swallow a blue glowing stone . Nothing very interesting about the tattoo but Sao can't take his eyes off it. She pushed a small pink can. "Is that a new perfume?" Maya chuckled. "It's something more." She placed it snugly in my palm. "It's not mich but I hope it keeps your fear at bay." I read the label and chuckled. It was pepper spray. Pepper spray in a pink bottle. "Thank you." I said softly and put it in my purse.

The next second, his eyes and throat felt like they were on fire, sending him into a fit of coughing. "Zara!" Zara was not doing much better. As she had been too close, she got hit with the backlash. Luckily, she had braced herself. She had snapped her eyes shut and held her breath in time, sparing herself from breathing in too much of the mist. Coughing, she bolted up from the bed, dashed away from the smoky haze, and ran into the bathroom to rinse her mouth and eyes with water. That stuff was pepper spray. Zara always carried it in her bag when she went out, just in case. She just never thought she would end up using it on Yosef.

I had never lost to anyone, and I wasn't about losing to Olivia. I bit on my bottom lip, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall off as I got off the bed and headed for my closet to fetch the scent-masking spray from my small box. I've never ran out of this spray for years now. Bella and I usually made used of it whenever we wanted to play very dirty pranks on any lowly member of the pack. It's very effective in hiding one's scent and makes the fellow smell almost human. With my right hand wrapped around the spray bottle, I aimed it a few inches away from my body, and spritzed a good quantity on myself.

Wrinkling my nose as I smelled the fried fish on me. I almost consider jumping into a quick shower but then rethink that. I’m not leaving Collin unsupervised too long in my house. So instead, I quickly change out of my work clothes, using my Bath & Body Works Strawberry Pound Cake body spray to best mask the smell till I can take a proper shower… or two. Taking my hair out of the bun I spray my brush with the same body spray and quickly brush out my hair. Not caring what I put on, I grabbed some sweats and an old Red Sox’s tee. I glanced at my reflection in my mirror.

She could not cower in fear at a moment like this. “How should I know?” Dayton did not detect anything unusual from her expression. He warned her coldly, “It’d be the best if you really don’t know anything. If I find out that you gave her that spray bottle, you’ll pay for what you’ve done.”
