Reading the contents of the page, my beast snarls in my head. “Don’t you fucking dare do this Fen!” I shake my head with a sigh. Closing the book, it opens again to the page I was looking at.

I press my hand to him, trying to get him to stay still. “I can help,” I murmur, fumbling with the heavy book in my lap. He pauses, eyes darting to the old book. His gaze hardens in suspicion but then softens. He recognizes what it is. I flip frantically through the brittle pages. 39… 91… 180… Focus. My fingers finally find the right page and relief washes over me when I spot the illustrations. I place the book next to me and take the bag, searching for the right leaves stuffy stuff. I do not know what. At least the book has pictures in color.

She sat down and stared blankly at the floor. "I overslept. I wonder if Hannah and Hansel have woken up. I'm such a fool!" Soheila irritably said. "I successfully protected them last time, but I failed this time." Soheila thought of Hansel and Hannah and she remembered what she had found out about them.
