It's kind of crazy. The interesting part was how unaware he could be sometimes. He even helped me into bed and took off my makeup. How sweet of him. Was he playing a trick on me or did he actually have feelings for me? Maybe he just wants to fuck me and take control of my mafia. I put on black skinny jeans, a t-shirt, and a cool leather jacket. After I did my makeup and hair, I headed to the kitchen. "Vix, do you know where Jiao Frost is? " I asked her, hoping she would know. "Um. . . I-I," Vix stammered. I crossed my arms and waited.

Another player asked with a grin “Really? Because your boyfriend seems pretty protective.” My wolf growled instantly and I shouted “He’s not my boyfriend.” One person said with a mocking tone “Sure.” Then, the tallest one suddenly shoved my shoulder hard enough to make my tray fall. Food scattered across the floor and laughter exploded around the cafeteria. My chest tightened painfully. I suffered humiliation when my fated mate rejected me in front of everyone and now I have to suffer humiliation again. And it's all because of that jerk Aiden Cross. The player smirked and said “Oops, my bad. I don't mean to push you.”

I whispered, voice trembling with fresh pain. Nyra smirked, still flushed behind me. “Of course I did. You were never good enough for him. Just a pathetic leech dragging him down.” Rage surged through me. I shoved her hard. She stumbled back into the wardrobe. I grabbed her by the hair and yanked. She clawed at my arms, but I kicked her legs out from under her. We crashed to the floor in a tangle of limbs and fury. I landed another slap before she shoved me off.

“Word travels fast around here. Especially when the hockey captain suddenly decides to play house with the girl who used to be invisible.” Heat rushed to my cheeks. I hated how easily my body betrayed me. Around us, a few students slowed their steps, pretending not to eavesdrop while clearly hanging on every word. Sienna stepped closer, her voice dropping to something almost intimate. “Look, I’m going to do you a favor because I almost feel bad for you. Jax doesn’t do relationships. He does distractions. And right now? You’re the shiny new distraction.” I swallowed, the taste of metal on my tongue. “That’s not really your business.”

That way, both Frostwave Corporation and Whitney would be forced into a desperate situation. A sly, triumphant grin adorned my face as I imagine the chaos, the wreck of concealed secrets that promised to dismantle their delicate connection. Armed with this deadly knowledge, I eagerly anticipated the moment to assert control, ready to tip the scales and manipulate that damn bitch. Through gritted teeth, I muttered to myself, "One way or another, Freya will have to meet her demise." The venom in my words echoed the festering jealousy within me, a poison fueled by the cruel twist of fate that made Freya even more beautiful.

I’m going tomorrow after work to check it out myself.” I nodded. “Yeah, you do that.” I sat at the kitchen table eating my pasta watching as he wiggled excitedly in his seat. “I can’t wait. I wonder if they fit their stereotype. Pale skin, formal clothing, knife-sharp fingernails, pearly white fangs, and super speed. Maybe I can find myself a vampire boyfriend. Their eyes were closed and a peculiar feeling of devastation began to run, like a thousand streams, into his chest, at the thought that they might be dead. “No!” he shouted as he fell to his knees. The woman’s lime green eyes cracked open and the thin layer of ice around her face cracked, but then froze again. He exhaled in relief and reached out to wipe away the tiny crystals already accruing on her lashes. “God, you’re cold,” he exclaimed, bringing his hands over her frigid cheeks.

“It’s okay for you to be jealous, but don’t go overboard.” He tapped his finger on the table in annoyance. “Are you stalking me?” She frowned for a second, then poured herself a glass of water and drank it in one go. Watching her throat move up and down, Lucas did not even have time to stop her before she had already swallowed the entire glass of ice water. He walked up to him, snatched the glass in her hand, and set it aside on the table with a loud thud. “Do you know that you're about to get your period, and drinking ice water now will hurt you to death?”
