Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Cold-protection supplies like down jackets, blankets, and sleeping bags were on my priority list as well. In my previous life, it began raining heavily in the second month after the zombie outbreak. In the third month, the temperature had dropped rapidly, paving the way to a three-month blizzard that terrorized the world. The abnormal weather ended up killing a ton of survivors. If we were to polish off our food supplies during the harsh winter, we'd still have to venture out to look for supplies. Now that I was done buying the cold-protection supplies, the next thing on my checklist was fuel. Fuel was essential for survival during the harsh winter, seeing as the power supply was already cut

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

Why wasn’t I more excited about it? I could make light and I could start a fire. And I could heal! Those three things made survival in the wilderness, even a fantasy wilderness, possible. Of course, anyone can live off the land, that’s what we were designed to do, but if you’ve ever watched one of those TV shows where they teach you how to start a fire with twigs, it should be clear that not only is it very tricky, it’s also incredibly tedious.

The Calling

The Calling

Zylith was still passed out and I slowly moved to freshen up in the bathroom. She had a few scrapes and bruises on her, I asked her how she managed to get this far again after we cleaned up. She looked up as though she was thinking and simply told me that it doesn’t matter. We are together and we are both safe. The whole thing puzzled me, how did she survive all that with the rogue wolves being so dangerous and her being a human. I cannot see her ‘Don’t worry about it’, answer going over well with the others. Safety and security seem to be a big deal to them.

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

I wanted a small hut of my own one day, perhaps a gentle husband from the pack who would let me choose my own path. A quiet life. Not legend. Not a monster. So I ran. My heart pounded against my ribs like a war drum as the trees thickened around me. Low branches snagged at my cloak like jealous fingers trying to pull me back. I carried only a small bundle tied tightly to my belt: strips of dried venison, a wedge of hard cheese, a waterskin, and the small silver knife my mother had pressed into my hand before the wasting sickness claimed her. It wasn’t much, but it was enough. If the gods were merciful, I could reach the distant valley before dawn and disappear into the wilds beyond Whitethor

The Bet

The Bet

She had poisoned herself and it was not only the alcohol's fault, but also the constant stress and exhaustion that had been accumulating for a long time. As she passed by the bookshelves, she decided to take some book to read. She was delighted with Matthew's collection. There were all the books written by Clive Cussler, one of her favourite writers, as well as a lot of books by Michael Crichton and Duncan Falconer. What surprised her more was to see all of John Grishams' novels.

Billionaire, Let's Divorce!

Billionaire, Let's Divorce!

He chuckled as if to say we hadn't even heard half of it, "And then there was the time I got lost in a snowstorm. I had to take shelter in a cave, and I spent the night huddled next to a fire, listening to the wolves howl outside." Aiden's voice piped up in curiosity. Tonight, he insisted on staying close to my side and I thought it was nice of him. "How did you manage to survive?" Mr. Jenkins grinned, "Well, I've spent years honing my wilderness skills. I know how to navigate, find food, and start a fire without matches. But I'll tell you, it was a harrowing experience." As he spoke, I was captivated by his stories. The whole room listened with rapt attention, our imaginations transported t

The book is good. However, it's way too long. this could have been broken up into three or more books. I stopped reading after the Sydney and Mark story. The mix-up of names throughout the story got confusing, and then it went right into Aiden and his girlfriends story.

Mark and Sydney got a divorce. Then, Mark's grandmother introduced Sydney to Mark's uncle. When Sydney saw him, she was shocked. Why? Because Lucas was her first love. That’s when I started getting frustrated — Sydney and Lucas got into a romantic relationship, and something was clearly going on bet

Entangled With The Savage Alpha

Entangled With The Savage Alpha

I was perfectly okay with sprawling anywhere and sleeping but since I was given supplies, I decided to make myself busy. After building my shelter, I realized I had enough time to relax. The forest was one of my favorite places. Being surrounded by nature was both comforting and invigorating. Bored, I made a small fire and sat by it. I noticed a bundle of books tucked under a nearby tree. Curiosity piqued, I opened the first one, and a note from Nadia fell out. "Dawn, these will aid you in understanding your journey. Use this time wisely." I flipped through the pages and just like the books at the abandoned library they were blank. My heart fell. How was I supposed to use them when I couldn'

Beautiful Disaster

Beautiful Disaster

And that was her last image of him before she spun on her heel and ran for her life, the long limb-like branches whipping her face and bare arms. The worst thing about being out in the wilderness, Marybeth thought, as she wrestled more branches and her adrenaline propelled her forward, was that there were no police. No calls to 10111. Just survival. And it was the thought of desperately wanting to live that pushed her on. Even when she tripped on thick roots and smacked the ground face down. Even when a searing fire rose in her chest, and terrifying cramps pierced her lower abdomen, she kept moving, praying she was heading in the right direction.
