Survival In The Parallel World

Survival In The Parallel World

It's not late so we continue our conversation with the rain echoing on the roof of the cabin. "About my situation, I have no memories at all, although I do have some knowledge of the world. Thanks to that I've been able to survive until now in the wilderness. There are things I know, but I don't know how or when I learnt them, on the other hand, there are other words I know but I can't associate them with anything". "Mmm… intriguing" says Hikaru.

The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

In the gaps, I shoved in small branches and leaves. For warmth, I used the thick fox fur I had been lucky to find a few weeks into my hike through the wilderness. The dead fox had taken its last breath and I had received something warm to cover me partially and some food to feed me for a few days. It was almost negligible, but I survived. Had I tried going into the human concentrated areas? I had. And then I heard rumors about the White Claw Pack putting a bounty on my head. I quickly went back into the safety of the forest… never to emerge.

Surviving the World to Escape Him

Surviving the World to Escape Him

I slowly limped away. Desperate to find water, wild fruits to eat, plants or herbs to tend to my injuries. Anything that could help with my situation. I felt like I had been walking for hours but when I looked back. I had only taken a few steps. Cold sweat ran down my back and forehead. The pain was unbearable, but I couldn’t stop, I had to keep moving, it was going to get dark soon and I couldn’t sleep out there. The thought of wild animals in the night and bandits finding me and doing unspeakable things to me.

Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

In her hands, she held a very beat-up copy of ‘Of Mice and Men. “Oh, Harriet! Thank you!” I squeezed my best friend before clutching the book to my chest. She grinned at me before she turned back to run back to where Matt was. I found my feet leading me back towards the creek. Away from the burned buildings, away from the chard remains of the carnival, and away from the dead. The thought of the packhouse was suffocating on a carefree regular day. Now there was over three times the amount of people shoved in there. For some reason, I felt like the creek was where I should be, like something in my gut was pulling me there.

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!

I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

Lancelot's Secret

Lancelot's Secret

I screamed until my throat started to hurt and wanted to cry. I pulled my knees up to my chest and pushed against the trunk lid with my legs, straining, then kicking, all to no avail. There was almost no light, so I searched with my hands, trying not to panic, to keep my mind clear. Women got kidnapped. It wasn't always a bad ending. There were tales of women who escaped horrid fates through luck and ingenuity. I tried remembering everything I had read, anything that might help, as I felt around the carpet lined trunk.

And although he mentioned that we would be taught different things, that hasn't happened yet as well. I did spend time reading books. From the bookshelf of my room, I saw one book that had the majority of the places inside Cinco listed. The lands that were rich enough and had plenty of resources, and the lands that were so poor werewolves were resulting to cannibalism to fend off hunger. I got sick and vomited most of my meal that day. I couldn't eat much after that.

I have not read the book as yet; I read the quotes at beginning of each chapter, from chapter 10 onwards. I found the quotes relevant to current situations I am facing. Thanks for a timely reminder, author! I will be reading the book soon and I anticipate an enjoyable read

Choosing The Alpha King

Choosing The Alpha King

Mismanagement led to disaster, decimating the population and leaving a mere 1% of humanity clinging to survival. Life became harsh, and people struggled to live, resembling scenes from a "Mad Max" movie or "The Book of Eli." Trudging across the dry, barren land, I felt the oppressive heat, unsuitable for cultivating anything. Merely minutes in the open, my skin felt like it was scorching.

The Captain, the Mechanic and the One Night Stand

The Captain, the Mechanic and the One Night Stand

Like glue embedded into the strands of my hair. The only way out was to cleave through it. Sever it. I just wish it didn't feel like I was sawing off my own arm, a tourniquet around the mutilation to stave the blood flow to keep me alive. But I still didn't have an arm. Had to adapt to life without something I'd viewed vital for so long. I slouched onto my bed, lost in thought even as I tried to read this book Ellie had given me. An adventure story about exploring the cosmos. Contemporary fiction. A romance weaved into the plot. And all it made me do was think about my men.

During that period of time, everywhere in that place was in the midst of chaos. Once the war started, the world became an incredibly difficult place to live in since there were bandits everywhere taking advantage of the situation to commit crimes. It would not have been a smooth journey for her as a woman to drive and venture through many chaotic towns in her journey to an even more lawless city.
