Claiming Mr. Mafia [ Book 1 ]

As Sherly sifted through the stack of documents on her desk, her brows furrowed in concentration. Two days had passed since the ball, yet the memory of the mysterious figure who had glared at George lingered in her mind like a haunting specter. She couldn't help but think of that man since she felt that he wasn't simple at all. He is part of the Vile Mafia; she knows it. However, for some reason, according to the information she had, she was part of the Rui Lin Mafia before.

The Mafia Lord And His Spy Lover (Book 1)

The Mafia Lord And His Spy Lover (Book 1)

“There was Rophynol in every soda, vodka, whiskey, and so on.” “Why?” “Trafficking, duh! It was like a full-blown Mafia business,” Harley said. “But before these assholes could execute their plan, some men in suits barged in and stormed everyone out of there.” “What men?” She rubbed her nape. “They had guns and this broach over their pockets in the shape of a spade.” Spade? “Why do I feel like I’ve heard about the spade broach before?” “It’s obviously Mafia business, B. It seemed like one gang was interrupting the work of another. But I wonder which mob is so decent.” She huffed. “They literally stopped human trafficking.”

He obviously loved thrillers as most of the books were made up with novels by Ian Fleming, Desmond Bagley, Hammond Innes, Ian Rankin, Michael Robotham and Alistair MacLean. My mobile sounded and I moved out on to the landing. Caller ID: Kimberley. “Hello, darling,” I said into the phone. “I need a drink,” she explained. “Bad morning?” “Ever since that break-in you investigated, Bio-Preparations insist on having an audit every month,” she said breathlessly. “Why have they got to have it on a bloody Saturday?” “You poor thing,” I said soothingly, feeling partially responsible. “So how about the Waggoner’s Rest?” She persisted. “I’ve just arrived back at the quay.”

If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

I am his best friend who has been in love with him for fifteen years when I should be using this time to get over him. I patted the sofa, dusted the shelves and put my books in a row. I am a bibliophile and a strong one at that. Sherlock Holmes and Augustus Dupin are by far my most favourite ones, me being a fan of mystery thrillers. I am such an addict of criminal profiling that I actually have list and screenshots of wanted criminals or serial killers on my phone. Serial killings were always my favourite ones, as they have something In common and it always piqued my curiosity as to why there are still serial killers like Jack the Ripper or Stripper on lease. I guess not

I can relate to this story, I once was in love with my best friend in high school but like this story I hid it because I didn’t want it to ruin our friendship. Until we got separated when we both went to different universities. Seen him once accidentally in the mall but that was it.

The Scar Face

The Scar Face

I walked downstairs to my boutique with a mug of coffee in my hand and a book which I'm currently reading. It was still raining outside making a puddle of water in different places on the street. I sat down in front of my counter and took a sip of my coffee. "Um, heavenly." I said and put the mug on the counter in front of me as I opened my book and started to read. I was reading a criminal novel. I only read three genres and that is romantic, criminal and fantasy.

Crime and Cashmere

Crime and Cashmere

He moves so fast I cannot even remember the faces of people I speak to. “Please,” I ask him “Slow down.” My feet ache and my muscles are sore. I have long since dropped the flowers on some random table, hoping silently they would burn and take the building and everyone in it. My fingers grasp onto a glass and I gulp down water quickly, my throat parched from flimsy small talk. The wedding will be in the papers. I can see the headline now- Two Crime Families Put Aside Differences; I knew the papers would sell quickly. Crime sold. I would know. My name had been in the papers since the day I was born thanks to my father. New York would tremble underneath me if I wanted it to. I dripped in cashm

Abnormally Normal

But the best part in both the books and the TV show is the unresolved tension between the three protagonists. 56-58. The Smoke Trilogy BY TANYA HUFF Same author, but not as successful. A series of three books, Smoke and Shadows, Smoke and Mirrors, Smoke and Ashes. The series takes place in Vancouver with Henry Fitzroy and his sometime-lover. More occult crime. Didn't do much for me. 59. Interview With The Vampire BY ANNE RICE Clearly one of the first reluctant vamps. I personally do not like the gothic trappings of the Anne Rice world, but this is clearly a book that influenced the genre. There are many other Rice novels, The Vampire Lestat, etc.

Just need to be edited, overall I love it, it has it's originality, it's start like some crazy sitcom and ends up having this climax, my favourite character has to be Goblin, I like how you portrayed his character, he's someone who was hurt because of the werewolves and vampires issues, overall nice

The Alpha Rejected Mate Is A True Lycan

The Alpha Rejected Mate Is A True Lycan

While I am waiting, I pick up the book by his bedside and read the title, ‘Six of Crows’, I turn it around to read the blurb, it was about six thieves trying to pull off an impossible heist to save their country. The book seemed like a very interesting read, maybe after Blake was done with the book, I could read after him. In the meantime, I bring out my phone and I open the app I have for books. I go the book I am currently reading, it is murder mystery/ thriller, titled ‘As good as dead’ and it is very interesting and intriguing.

Badgering My Billionaire Bully

Badgering My Billionaire Bully

“Yes. They’re trying to solve the murder of the criminal’s best friend who they’re accused of murdering, but the cop isn’t sure he can trust the words of a convicted felon. Each time they uncover a clue it points back to the criminal but it’s glaringly obvious it’s a setup. The cop though doesn’t trust anyone. He can’t decide if the criminal is making it look like a setup to fuck with him or if it’s a real set up.” “Huh,” he signed his name on the document and passed it back to her. He rocked on his heels, his hands jammed in his pockets as she scanned the signed paper and waited for it to load back to her phone. “People actually read these works of fiction?” “Yes.” “I’m more of a non-fictio
