It's all a fantasy. Fable has been my escape. An unhealthy one. A safe pretend world where I could bury myself. Just like how Zee cried after she finished the final Harry Potter book, or how Jamie bases so much of her worth on the fictional version of herself that lives across a thousand Instagram pics, in the comments and likes of a thousand strangers. Just carefully constructed lies to comfort and lull. Dreams.

"Gwyneth, did I ever mention that you're as good as dead once I'm out?" Gwyneth winced as the blood from her right cheek ran down her face and dripped onto her pants. She looked around and saw no high-rises in sight. They had to be in the suburbs. "Let me go, and I'll forget what happened today," she said. "MistWorld was formed long ago by the three powerful entities, who discovered this planet that was filled with raw magic and magical creatures that had been formed from the magic. Those in the Vampdragon world are the only species known to leave their world at will without any problem, the other worlds don't have such access, as they lack in technology and other advanced equipment that would help in teleporting from their world.
