Some kind of forbidden text or magic?” I asked. “It’s the Book of Fate,” Linette breathed. “Said to have been destroyed centuries ago. How did you touch it?” “It… appeared in my room,” I confessed, my voice shaking.

I didn’t know what I did to become so blessed, so suddenly. “Ladies,” I said, announcing my presence in the room. The three girls turned to look at me. I walked closer to see what they were doing. They seemed to be making chocolate molds in the shape of various monsters. I pick up one of the molds in the shape of a cauldron and pop it in my mouth. “I wasn’t done with that yet, Alpha.” The older of Ume’s sisters, Sage, spoke up, a little horrified that I ate it. I looked at her as I chewed and swallowed my witch's brew chocolate.

He is shivering by looking at the cover of the book. “What is it Al-” Jeje comes to Alfi and remains silent when he sees the cover of the book. “Alfi, don’t tell me it is the one?” Jeje averts to Alfi, err his head turns to Alfi. His eyes are just drawing. How could I forget the fact that Jeje is a Jailangkung with a Gundam head? “Exactly,” Alfi said in a serious tone. “What is it, guys? Why are you so serious?” Kartika approaches both of them. ”What book is that any-” Kartika who sees the cover of the book directly smacks their heads really hard that they pass out.

I turned back to my screen and didn't think about that at all. ********** At ten o'clock, I was focused on my work when my screen blinked. I frowned. My computer didn't usually blink. I had the best security set up that money could buy.....seventeen different alarms, and nothing got past them without setting all of them off. Lines of code moved across my spreadsheet like it was soft paper. I leaned forward and read slowly. 'You fell asleep with your hand curled under your chin. You looked like someone who had been fighting for so long she forgot what rest felt like.'

“Listen to this. Congratulations my industrious scribe, or scribes. I see you have found the code to mine books, but have you found their traps. My traps are simple, or difficult, it depends on your mind. My books are numbered simply and are nothing more than my personal journals. Merely the ramblings of an old man.
