He Fired Me. Now His Empire Is Burning

He Fired Me. Now His Empire Is Burning

I was doing it so everyone in this room would know I had given them the roadmap to avoid disaster. If they still managed to screw it up, it would be because they were idiots, and it would have nothing to do with me. I wasn't giving them any ammunition to sling mud at me ever again. Lucy didn’t even bother to open the file. She glanced at the cover with contempt and let out a haughty sniff. “Right, Madeline. Got it.” I knew she wouldn't read it. After all, as a mole, her job was to burn everything to the ground.

They Regretted Firing Me

They Regretted Firing Me

If Beatrice lit the fuse, my own soldiers were the ones dumping rocket fuel on the flames. Vivid memories flashed through my mind. Splitting cold takeout on a concrete floor during our first multi-million dollar federal raid. Buying out a luxury nightclub cash-in-hand to celebrate a foreman's ten-year milestone. Smuggling an entire family out of the country when a turf war got too close, paying their expenses for six months. I had never, not once, shorted a single soul who bled for this syndicate.

Firing Me From My Dad's Company

Firing Me From My Dad's Company

Obviously, the rumors that Karen had spread had taken hold of them. "Isn't that Alex Sutherland from the company's sales department? How did he manage to get in?" "I heard that he was fired for stealing. How does he still have the nerve to show his face?" "Why is Mr. Hardin sitting next to a person like him? Has he been deceived?" I caught the gossip and whispers, but I didn't respond to any of them, not even with a frown. Instead, I picked up a glass of red wine from a passing waiter's tray and took a sip.

I Was Fired, but Her Empire Turned to Ashes

I Was Fired, but Her Empire Turned to Ashes

Just then, I heard the conference room door open again. A man around my age, dressed in a tailored suit, walked in. His gaze locked onto mine, haughty and arrogant. "Julian, if you want to remove your firewall, go ahead. Now that I'm here, the company doesn't need you anymore," he said. Seeing him, Wendy visibly relaxed and no longer hesitated about letting me remove the firewall. "Just go, Julian. I have no use for anything you've built." I nodded in acknowledgment, then pulled out my laptop and removed the firewall with just a few keystrokes. Seeing the code scroll rapidly across the screen, the man watching from beside me let out a derisive snort.

The Burning

The Burning

I skimmed the text, my eyes darting from line to line, trying to make sense of it. *Project Inferno— Weaponization of Wildfires.* My breath caught in my throat. Weaponization? what the actual hell...? I flipped through the pages, my pulse quickening as the details unfolded before me.

The Alpha's Cure

The Alpha's Cure

Lana sighed. Lana almost tempted me to show her. That's when I decided to burn every book I owned. My neighbor Presley was never the same after the police and Bruce questioned Jude. It was late at night and I used my firepit to burn my books. The smell wasn't inviting like hickory charcoal. Presley was cleaning his grill as he often does. He tried to peek my way, but once he saw me glaring at him, he stopped what he was doing and hurried inside.

Cheating Mates

Cheating Mates

I jumped in his path and did everything I could to prevent him from continuing, saying "No, please. I beg you. It would be a terrible mistake to burn the books. Please.” He hissed at me like an animal and asked, "why should I not?" I pleaded with him once more, but he ignored me and went ahead and set fire to the paper. He threw them on my bookshelves, where then burned them. When I saw those lovely books engulfed in flames in front of me, my heart broke into a million pieces.

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

I was late morning when Tristan entered the room pulling my head of the book, I looked at him in slight amazement. “We have the conference call in twenty minutes.” He greeted stepping into the room as I looked up. “What?” He asked and I held up the book. “Tristan, this book.” I stated not really knowing how to explain it. “It’s a novel, just a story that I found in the library, but it’s based on a family of werewolves, the two daughters, twins, were born with a special gift, they could produce fire and ice.” I uttered and watched as his brows rose. “They later became joint alphas of the their pack. Do you think this could be the story of the alpha twins that we were looking for?”

you know it's really disheartening to purchase the chapters of a book and find it's not finished and has not had an update in months. I believe that as customers, we should be reimbursed if the author is no longer going to update the story and finish it. I am very disappointed.

Loving this story! Lots of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. The author did have some issues updating for a month or so, but we all have IRL issues. Glad she is back! Can’t wait to see where she will lead us next!

You May Kiss The Bride

You May Kiss The Bride

Ayden lashed out at him. “You forgot to knock,” Micah replied. “Gosh! Brother, are you for real going to do something childish like this? Tell me what happened?” Ayden asked. “What happened? I just didn’t like the staff so I fired them,” He replied. “So you want me to believe that?” Ayden asked. “What else can there be?” “There is clearly something wrong with you, or why on earth would you fire so many workers on a single day?” “They were—annoying,” Micah threw the file in his hand and rubbed his temple, and licked his lip that had dried out.
