I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. I see the swirls of the flames behind her move before I see a tiny part of her left wing snap and shrivel into embers of ash. It’s too blinding to look at, and I’m forced to avert my gaze.

Yikes "You have wings too?" I ask Aylin and she nods before huge black wings appear behind her. Hers are membranous and resemble bat wings. Her wings seem to absorb what small light there is, and nothing shines off of them, like the blackness of them overpowers any kind of light. She flaps her wings once, before she jumps and lets them carry her upwards. She makes it look effortless.

With every flap of its wings, a sweet aroma as well as tiny green flower petals fell off its wings. There were six smaller similar looking butterflies flying around the massive one. These were around 50 meters tall, all of different colors, white, red, pink, green, black and light blue. Milton stood to his feet and observed the butterflies with interest, he realised that all six of these, all of different affinities.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

"She’s the Blueprint of the Twenty-Sixth. And she’s already started the re-weave." From the Hive, thousands of Silver-Black Butterflies began to emerge, their wings etched with the faces of the people we had lost.

Gabbe stopped pacing and tossed her wing to point at the two angels sitting next to each other across the fire from Roland. Arrianes slender iridescent wings were still for once, rising high above her shoulder blades. Their shimmer looked almost phosphorescent in the colorless night, but everything else about Arriane, from her short black bob to her pale, drawn lips, looked harrowingly somber and sedate.

Curl noticed how shocked she was so he slowly pushed her back and covered her a bit till she recovered. "I present to you, Fairy Wing" said Curl, letting Pradai get a look. But something else happened. Like waves and below the Cliff, rose four more Fairy Wings. They were younger and smaller, and different. One was grey, one was red, one was blue, and the last was white, alongside their rainbow-coloured wings. Apparently Pradai was shaking, she wasn't done processing the first one yet. "...umm I mean, Fairy Wings" Curl added, looking at Pradai with one eye. He tried as much as possible not to let go of her.

He was her Luke, but he now had the most beautiful wings she could ever imagine. But the wings?! Oh, heavens! They were unexplainable! They were something out of this world. They were huge and reminded Sarah of angel wings, although they were entirely different. Instead of feathers, fire tongues covered their surface. At least she thought those were fire tongues; on the second thought, they looked too solid and too sparkly to be disembodied. She had an urge to touch them, feel them, and experience how they are under her fingertips… As if she was in some sort of trance, wordlessly, Sarah made a step forward. Somehow, they'd gotten their hands on my flight info and cut me off the minute I walked off the plane.
