She didn't have to wait for very long though before it passed again; and this time, she caught a proper view. The first thing Megan saw was a pair of wings. They were long; so long in fact that they could easily be the length of a semi-truck. They were also slender, streamlined enough for presumably a smooth glide through the intense winds at the mountain top. Coming closer to the grounds, she saw that the wings sparkled in the sun like pieces of silver; several rainbow colours dancing off their edges whenever they caught the light properly.

A shriek came out of her mouth which made Anna look behind to find Aura falling down. "Aura!" Anna panicked and screamed taking her name and jumped off without thinking of the consequence. Suddenly she felt a burning sensation on her back and soon two jet-black wings came out of her back. Each feather has the top part jet black with the hairs or fibers sticking out of the sides, while the end of the edge itself is blood red. Flipping the wings in the air she flies down and catches Aura before she falls into the river of fire.

I turned to the looking glass again to examine my new appendages. There were two pairs. The higher set was significantly larger, and bat-like in shape, with curly black thumbs. Between the black fingers there was leathery webbing, marked with a pattern like that of a common rose butterfly’s wings—alternating stripes of black and grey, with scattered red dots in the corners. The lower, smaller pair of wings had tails like those of a swallowtail, and they conformed to the same pattern, except red spots ran more plentifully down their sides. “I’ve never seen wings like these,” said Salem, gaping in awe. “You really are like something from a fairy tale.”

Surrounded by the bright and soft golden light, there were 48 beams of sharp and colorful light. Slowly, they grew larger and larger. They were enlarged to the original size of the wings. It was the embryonic form of twenty-four pairs of multicolored wings. Each wing had a different color. They were different from a dazzling golden color, but they emitted a golden color all over. When 48 strange colorful golden lights bloomed like lotus flowers, each wing was like a petal, revolving around Xiang Zeyu. Everyone stared fixedly at Xiang Zeyu, staring at the twenty-four pairs of petal-like wings.

I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. I see the swirls of the flames behind her move before I see a tiny part of her left wing snap and shrivel into embers of ash. It’s too blinding to look at, and I’m forced to avert my gaze.

Yikes "You have wings too?" I ask Aylin and she nods before huge black wings appear behind her. Hers are membranous and resemble bat wings. Her wings seem to absorb what small light there is, and nothing shines off of them, like the blackness of them overpowers any kind of light. She flaps her wings once, before she jumps and lets them carry her upwards. She makes it look effortless.

With every flap of its wings, a sweet aroma as well as tiny green flower petals fell off its wings. There were six smaller similar looking butterflies flying around the massive one. These were around 50 meters tall, all of different colors, white, red, pink, green, black and light blue. Milton stood to his feet and observed the butterflies with interest, he realised that all six of these, all of different affinities.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

"She’s the Blueprint of the Twenty-Sixth. And she’s already started the re-weave." From the Hive, thousands of Silver-Black Butterflies began to emerge, their wings etched with the faces of the people we had lost.

Somehow, they'd gotten their hands on my flight info and cut me off the minute I walked off the plane.
