The girl did a twirl, flames spinning around her and blocking the chains from attacking her. Leaping back on her feet, Maria launched a ball of fire towards Ravager.

After ending the call, Tucker gazed down at Morgan and declared, "As of today, you're no longer part of the Flint family." Morgan looked up at him, disbelief written on his face. "No… Tucker… You can't do this! I'm your brother, for goodness' sake! Are you seriously going to cut me off over a woman?" A bitter laugh slipped past Tucker's lips. The shadow creature that had lunged at her recoiled as the fire surged over it. The darkness screamed as if the flames were searing its very existence, and then, writhing and shrieking, it disintegrated into ash. Skylar stared at her fingers in shock, still glowing with a fierce red light. The fire blazed within her-hotter, fiercer, and more intense than anything she had ever felt before. "Fire!" she gasped. "I can summon fire!"
