I snatched his phone from Aunt Gracy but was met with password I wanted to hand it over to him to press his password but he beat me to it by telling me "The password is kejogmet" "okay" I said pressing the password and it unlocked though in my mind, I was surprised. I can remember overhearing NataliesN conversation with Jeanette and Eleanor when Natalie complained Kendall wont tell her his phone's password.

Kalis POV I wake up, rubbing my eyes. I roll over and notice Rylins up and in the shower. I feel my stomach drop to my feet. Trying to bury my fear down. Only an hour or so before we have to go to the council meeting. I want him to go in not worrying about me but I know he cam feel my concern because I can feel his tension flowing through the bond. He's seems super suspicious. I peek through the bathroom door to take a look at him showering. He links me, ' If you're going to stare just come join me'

She quickly pushed Jerry aside who looked disappointed, he scoffed sadly folding his hands. Erica bent over slowly since her baby bump was larger now. Their was a pile of human skeletons, she saw a little light beeping from them. She reached in between the skeletons shutting her eyes and grabbing what was there. She stood up moving away quickly from the skeletons. It was a phone. Her eyes lit up at once. "A phone..." she said in excitement. Jerry's eyes widened "a phone? How?" Erica ignored him and tried dailing Jerry's number but it wouldn't connect, the phone battery was very low.

"You keep doing that thing where you straighten your fork when you're thinking about what to say next." I looked down. My fork was perfectly straight. "How did you notice that?" I asked. "Because I pay attention," Eli said. "To you. To how you move, what makes you uncomfortable, what patterns you fall into when you're defending yourself." "That's slightly invasive," I said. "It's care," Eli said. "There's a difference." I didn't know how to respond to that because he was right. He was paying attention not to gather leverage or to prove me wrong. He was paying attention because he actually cared about understanding me.

His soft small hand clenched the ear of the brown teddy bear, he pouted and with a shaking body, he approached his mother.

Minus Waking up next to Cricket this morning was at the top of my list of life’s great moments. Unfortunately, the feeling was short lived as a sense of dread crept over me. We hadn’t exactly finished our conversation last night. Far from it. I still had one key detail to fill her in on, and I knew she wasn’t going to be happy about it.
