He hadn’t given me a name, and frankly, Sir would do. “Got it.” He didn’t move. I could see it in his expression — that wasn’t enough. “We will be using the stoplight system for a safeword,” he continued. “Red ends the scene immediately. Yellow means I slow down and check in. Green means continue.”

"I understand, Master." "We will use the standard traffic light system," he explained, his thumb tracing a slow path down to my jawline. "Green means you are comfortable and wish to proceed. Yellow means you are reaching a limit, physically or mentally, and I need to reduce the intensity. Red means stop. Instantly. If you utter the word red, everything ceases. The scene is over, the cuffs are unlocked, and the discipline stops. Do you understand the weight of that word, Beverly?"
