The Alpha's Wolf-less Luna

The Alpha's Wolf-less Luna

he said so sternly surprising her because that was the tone he uses with everyone else, never with her. She gulped nervously and nodded her head as a go-ahead. Roman just hissed and ran his hands through his snow-white hair before he continued, " as I was saying, several centuries back when the first wolves existed, werewolves were having a hard time balancing their were-life with a human life. You see the thing is that we were all once humans before but in a small village, the first set of wolves was formed after some young men and women went into a forbidden forest known as the home of a sorceress their village had banished. The Alpha and Her Destiny

The Alpha and Her Destiny

He may have had the body of a wolf, but his mind was still his own and so through the many years of his continued existence, searched for a way to reverse the curse upon him. One day, Lycaon encountered a woman in the northern forests of Roman territory. She recognized who he was, as she was the goddess Hecate. Hecate hated Zeus and the other deities and agreed to reverse the curse. Hecate tried to lift the curse, but the power of Zeus was too strong and so she could only manipulate the curse. Her pendant—two wolfsbane branches circling opposed helms—snapped and skittered across the gravel, spinning to a stop in a coppery smear. They dragged. She changed. The growl rose first—wet, subterranean—before the body followed. Bones unzipped and reset; sinew braided and surged; fur erupted through skin. In a breath, where Sara had been, a towering brown werewolf stood, eyes molten gold. Her left arm tore free. The blond didn’t even scream as her claws opened him face to gut, a red curtain dropping in one stroke. “The—fuck—RUN!” the big one choked. Three bolted, boots collapsing into slapstick panic. She didn’t chase.

The werewolf and his princess

The werewolf and his princess

I look at my clock and see I have 10 minutes left so I put on my shoes and texted Derric that I will be waiting for them in the lobby. We have arrived at the royal castle 10 minutes early. After they announced us we walked into the hall. We start mingling with the other werewolves that are present. Mostly all the unmated supernatural are present except for the Alpha, Beta, and third in command couples. We have to be here no exception. I look around hoping to find someone that looks interesting to talk to. I see a young fairy walking towards me. "Hi, my name is Celia. I'm the sister of the fairy queen."

The Accidental Werewolf

The Accidental Werewolf

“Do you know our creation story? Have you read it yet?” I have. It’s very similar to the Christian one. According to the texts, The Goddess made the first werewolves to be her companions. One male, one female, just like Adam and Eve. Similarly, the first wolves lived with her in a paradise. Unlike Adam and Eve, the wolves weren’t cast from paradise because they sinned, but as a kindness. The tale goes that the two wolves grew unhappy and wanted more freedom.

I had a hard time liking the FL's sarcasm/strong opinions in the first chapters, but she grew on me as I continued reading. The writing is good, and so are the descriptions. Hardly any grammatical errors, and the pacing is fine. Great job author!

A vampire for the werewolf

A vampire for the werewolf

They were confident and composed, while I was a jittery mess, trying to remember everything I had learned in the past few days. One girl was asked, "Who was the first werewolf to ever exist?" She answered, "Lycaon, the son of Pelasgus, the king of Arcadia." Her answer was met with nods of approval from the council and the other competitors. Another girl was asked, "What are the three forms that werewolves can take?" She confidently answered, "The human form, the wolf form, and the hybrid form." The council nodded in agreement, and I could feel my stomach churning with nerves.

The Werewolf Wife

The Werewolf Wife

It’s against the Werewolf legendary rule," I said sternly. She grinned from ear to ear as she kneaded her elbow. "Yes, you will be crowned the Werewolf queen this year." "First and foremost, I must assassinate those five assassins." Nyka later went to the Felis farmstead to carry out our plan for tomorrow. I went into my room and looked out the window. His large eyelashes and the lamp light near his bed table fell on his face as he slept blissfully. It accentuated his attractiveness and sped up my heartbeat. Amethyst, just don't forget about your vengeance and divert your attention away from it. With a shake of my head, I exhaled deeply. He abruptly awoke from his slumber and gazed around, a

Frequently Asked Questions

A werewolf, huh? Well, let me tell you, they're some of the most fascinating creatures in mythology and fiction. Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes, are legendary shapeshifters. Diving into folklore, a person becomes a werewolf practically by being bitten by an existing werewolf, sort of like an infectious disease. But there are also tales of folks transforming due to magic spells, curses, or even embracing a wolf’s skin or belt.

Once you've got the werewolf bug, when the full moon comes out, you're in for a wild night. The human body contorts, strecthes, and changes horrifyingly into a wolf or wolf-like creature. Think sharp claws, bristly fur, a lupine muzzle – the works. It's supposedly quite excruciating. But once in wolf form, the individual often loses all human consciousness, becoming primal, savage even, with unbridled strength and ferocity.

Of course, interpretations vary. Some convey werewolves as vicious monsters, while others highlight their struggle between human ethics and carnal wolf instincts. Authors write entire series about werewolf societies living in secret, with complex customs and hierarchies. You've likely seen such depictions in 'The Twilight Saga' or 'Teen Wolf'.

As for dealing with a werewolf, slaying methods range from silver bullets to wolfsbane, and these too depend on the teller of the tale. Wolves already have a strong place in human mythology and folktales on their own, and merging the image of a human with a wolf creates a potent symbol of our own struggle between civilized behavior and unrestrained, wild freedom.

So there you have it. Werewolves, complex and compelling creatures of the night. Just remember to keep some silver handy just in case the next full moon brings more than just a lovely starlit night.
