“What’s red ribbon means?” Andrew asked.
“No mercy,” the fisherman said.
“Who ties them?” I asked.
“The one who is not God but keeps applying for the job,” he said. “Don’t make me say his name again.”
“I heard it the first time,” I said.
He nodded, satisfied.
“You’ve got more than most people before you.” He pointed the chin at Salvo. “Ride with them. Make sure they don’t look too stupid.”
“I never ride with people,” Salvo said. “But I can ride nearby.”
