A flicker passed through the air. Not shock. Not fear. Understanding. “There are no divisions.” “No structure.” “No protection.” The ground beneath them trembled slightly. “The last one standing will be the victor.” Another pause. “And the victor will be granted one wish.” Silence returned. Heavy. Absolute. Then one final word. “Begin.” Everything shattered. Power erupted in every direction at once. The ground split apart as one of the devils launched forward instantly, striking toward the nearest angel with explosive force. Light clashed against darkness, sending a shockwave through the battlefield that fractured the floating terrain even further.

I throw fire balls at him but he’s so tiny and fast I miss every time. Time to get creative, flames shoot out of the ground in a circle trapping the demon inside. I burn him to a crisp so he can never hurt anyone again. The flowers begin to wilt over, without the demon they have no life force. Tyler and the King come out of it getting out of the dirt. “That was the worst thing I’ve ever been through” Tyler was shaken up. “We have to keep going, if we don’t make it to a safe spot before dark we likely won’t survive the night” the king warned.

Directing the flame to wrap around the shield to touch the demons surrounding them, I was careful not to let it near the others. It was like a flood of black and purple flames as they expanded and scorched everything in its path. It didn’t cause any damage to anything except for the demons. The flame was more or less energy in the form of fire, but not actual fire. When I was sure that all the demons were dead, I extinguished the flame as I collapsed to the ground on my side. Pulling the dagger from my stomach, I lifted it to see it more clearly. It was definitely a weapon I created.

The flames spread faster than it can react, as if its skin were made of paper, overtaking it completely. Raphael watches, stunned, breath shaking and unable to look away. The creature stumbles, collapses, and its form breaks apart, falling into ash that scatters with the wind.

It wasn’t him. "You will rise, Adolfa," the voice said. "Even from ashes. Especially from ashes." My flickering soul clung to those words. Who was it? Where was I? I turned—or maybe I didn’t—but something shifted. A shape formed in the darkness. Tall. Glowing. Wings made of silver flame. "Who—who are you?" I asked. The demon stepped forward. "I am what remains of the First Flame," it said. "I burn where hope is gone."

“Demon flame art: Purga!” All of the demons in the cube erupted in the same green flame. They withered away, but more too their place. “Fine then.”, she said, as a dagger appeared in her hand. She raised it up and mad e a single stroke down. “Antaroq Eznon Dymor!”

With a final flourish, she extinguished the flames, leaving only a faint wisp of smoke in their wake. Elara, the newcomer with the Celestial Flames, stepped forward next. Her presence commanded attention, and her eyes burned with a fierce intensity. "My power is the Celestial Flames," she said, her voice ringing with authority. "These flames are imbued with celestial energy, capable of healing and destruction."

His purple eyes and silver haired seemed to have made him appear more like a demon than Balbazor upon the question that the demon asked. “It’s not any normal oil indeed, it’s a special fluid made up from dead demons that I have experimented. You know how a demon’s blood can burn human when they curse them to death. I heard they can also burn demons for eternity. The more anger and hatred brew in the demon’s heart before they died, their blood would burn the ones near them even stronger. He throws out his hands and tries to command the fire, but it doesn’t obey. “I call upon the forces of light,” I repeat, voice getting stronger. I suck in cool, fresh air. “Cast this demon in chains and send him down to the abyss!” The flames start to turn blue, rising up around the demon. He steps back and his robes catch on fire. The blue fire climbs higher and the demon cries out in pain. Horrible screeches leave him as he burns, sounding like a hundred voices crying, a hundred voices begging for death. And then he collapses into a pile of ash. The blue flames die down, moving into the earth. Everything is dark. The forest is silent, and I stare, wide-eyed at the smoldering ash.
